Embarking on a new decade can be daunting. With it comes memories, mistakes, and most importantly wisdom. Here are 30 lessons I have learned by the time I turned 30.
1. Don’t let anyone walk over you. Stand up for yourself. You matter.
2. Heal your inner child. What are they trying to tell you?
3. Become self-sufficient. But ask for help when you truly need it.
4. Self-love is so important. Have compassion for yourself and others.
5. Start a hobby, master something new.
6. Take care of your health. Self-care is essential.
7. Let go of the past and forgive people.
8. Eat healthier, exercise, disconnect.
9. Explore yourself. Self-discovery is fundamental.
10. Practice gratitude.
11. Learn a new skill.
12. Learn a new language.
13. Meet new people. Understand others. Get out of the box, the norm.
14. Stay current or up to date with current events.
15. Figure out your areas of life, figure out your ikigai
16. Connect and create long-lasting friendships. Understand who is for you and who is not.
17. Mentors!
18. Become a lifelong learner
19. Learn Philosophy
20. Understand your weaknesses. Tell the Truth. It works out better in the end.
21. What are your priorities?
22. Make time for creativity- connect with your inner child.
23. Create a System. Take care of your finances. For they are the seeds which a tree can be planted.
24. Connect to God or a higher power, whatever that may look like for you.
25. Don’t rush, let life happen. Don’t try to figure everything out. Go with the flow.
26. Balance yourself: chakras, energy, priorities, feelings, and time
27. Read, Read, Read! and Write
28. Invest in yourself
29. Make time for what’s most important- don’t forget the little things. Understand your humanity.
30. Most importantly: LOVE
