Showtime is Free with Paramount+, Things to Know

Previously, a Paramount+ Premium with Showtime bundle costs $11.99 per month or $119.99 per year. Now, Paramount+ is changing its subscription plans, as Showtime will shut down its separate app and move all of its content to Paramount+ by the end of the year. If you already are a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME bundle subscriber, you don't have to pay more to continue viewing Showtime content because the new Paramount+ with Showtime subscription plan will be priced the same. In addition to having access to all Showtime original titles, subscribers of new Paramount+ with Showtime plan can also access Showtime East and West live, and local CBS stations.

And if you haven’t subscribed to Paramount+, you can also have a 7-day free trial to experience the Paramount+ with Showtime service. When compared to some of the other prominent streamers available, Paramount+ with Showtime is reasonably priced. Of course, if you don't need any Showtime content, you can also keep the Essential subscription plan. Paramount+ is raising the cost of its Essential plan, and it costs $5.99 per month instead of its previous price of $4.99.

What happens to the Showtime standalone streaming app?

There are no longer any stand-alone Showtime streaming subscriptions for sale, but you can still use the Showtime streaming service if you only want to watch Showtime without any Paramount+ content, this is only for the existing Showtime streaming subscribers. The standalone Showtime app will be discontinued by Paramount until the end of 2023.

What happened to the previous Paramount+ Premium plan?

The old Premium package (without Showtime) is being discontinued, and former Premium members will automatically switch to Paramount+ with Showtime. And the subscription fee will rise from $9.9/month to $11.99/month.

What happens If I subscribe to Paramount+ with Showtime bundle via Showtime?

You can now stream both Showtime and Paramount+ content on Paramount+ if you signed up for the bundle through Showtime and are billed by Showtime. Just enter the same email and password you use to log into Showtime on paramountplus.com or the Paramount+ app.
