New features social media apps

Analyze new features and social media paid app

By Veronique BeauprezPublished 4 years ago 3 min read

I recently participated on the bèta version of Whatsapp, Messenger and Linkedin, I love to share the recent innovations with you.

Whatsapp

WhatsApp is currently hard at work providing additional emojis for users. It should make the messaging service even more inclusive.

WhatsApp used to be very simple emojis. All faces and persons were yellow. In 2015, that changed and multiple skin and hair colors were added.

But they couldn’t represent everyone yet. Things sometimes go wrong, especially with couples. But it is now trying to find a solution.

WhatsApp is testing a new feature for two-person emojis. It should now be possible to put together a couple yourself. A number of beta users already have access to the new feature.

It is not yet clear when the tool will be officially launched.

2 Messenger

If it depends on Facebook Meta, then QR code refunds will soon be over. Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, among others, is working on a built-in application in Facebook Messenger.

The feature will be called “Split Payments” and with that you will be able to ask your friends to pay you back. You can also easily give those friends their money back yourself. The company is currently testing the new application on a large test audience in the United States. It is not yet certain whether and when the application will come to Belgium.

You will be able to keep full bills, send each other payment requests, let the app calculate how much everyone you need and you can adjust the amounts per person yourself. You will also be able to see who has already paid, and who still owes you money. A perfect way to keep your own bookkeeping up to date.

3 LinkedIn

LinkedIn bolsters its ‘Creator Mode’ with the additions for creators. Among other things, this gives you access to a new newsletter option for the makers to help keep the connection with their audience.

LinkedIn now also gives all creators access to the ‘LinkedIn Live’ option. This gives you, as a creator, another way to maximize audience engagement on the platform.

The app says that live videos get an average of 7x more comments and 24x more commentary than native videos. That is why it also wants to promote those live videos extra.

When these features become a reality, I don’t know yet. As soon as there is more news, you will be updated in my next social media article.

Additional analyze

A paid social platform

A fun thing to do is analyze applications, it’s like an adventure for me ✔

I began exploring the application ‘Minds’ in August 2021 while I was on holiday in France. Easy going earning money online. I felt proud of getting 2 dollars each day by posting and liking other people’s posts. ❤

I was so confident that this side hustle would pay for my food on the table.😎

But I was wrong, the basic program gives me Mind tokens which I have to move on the chain to my Ethereum wallet. Unfortunately, the transaction from off-chain to on-chain requires gas fees of a high price, so it’s not worth it to make a transaction yet. Ethereum will be in the future gas fee-free, so I have heard. 👍

Join the next level

I have decided to join the Minds+ program and again with full hope, I began counting my earnings with this advanced membership.

The membership fee costs 60 $ a year. You get a week free trial.

How does it work out for me?

I began on the 25th of October and I have in my wallet 50 $. The payout is when you earned 100 $. So I guess it will happen at the end of January 2022.

At least I get my annual fee for free. 👌

More to explore this week...

Thank you for your readingtime.
