Introduction

Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms on the internet, and it's not hard to see why. In 2019, Instagram had over a billion active users who were spending an average of an hour and a half per day on the platform. That's a lot of time spent on Instagram! So if you're looking for ways to grow your own Instagram account, there are plenty of strategies available to get you started. I'll show you how to grow your account by following these steps:

First and foremost, you need to have a strategy!

Getting your strategy right is the most important thing. What's a strategy? A strategy is a set of goals and actions that you take to achieve those goals. If you don't have one, you'll be flying blind and throwing darts at a board in hope that one hits the bullseye.

A good strategy will help you determine:

What your goal is (the outcome)

Why it's important for you to achieve this goal (the reason)

The main things that are preventing you from achieving your goal (your obstacles)

Posting frequently

Posting frequently is important, but not too often. Post at the right time of day. More frequent posting can help you grow your account. However, don't post too often or you will annoy your audience!

Be consistent about your posting schedule.

Your posting schedule is an essential part of your Instagram growth strategy. The frequency with which you post will determine whether or not your audience sees your content, and how much they engage with it. So before we dive into the specifics, let's talk about the basics:

How often should I post on Instagram?

When should I post on Instagram?

How can I post at the right time?

Interact with your audience.

Interacting with your audience is one of the best ways to grow your Instagram following.

Instagram users are probably expecting you to respond to their comments, so make sure that you do!

You should also ask questions in your posts, especially if they're related to that post. For example, if you're posting a picture of some food ask "what's your favorite type of pizza?" or something similar. This will encourage people who like pizza (a lot) to leave a comment and engage with those who don't like pizza as much but still want to participate in the conversation.

Interact with influencers in your space.

You can find influencers by searching for keywords related to your niche. For example, if you run an Instagram account about dogs and their owners, you could search for the hashtag “#dogsofinstagram” or “#dogsarethebest”.

Another way to find influencers is by searching for hashtags related to your niche. For example, if you run an Instagram account about dogs and their owners, then “#dogsofinstagram” might be a good hashtag choice as well. You could also try searching for other relevant hashtags such as “#k9love” or “#dogphotographer” so that you can find more users who share similar interests with yourself!

Have a highly engaging feed.

You should post a variety of content types to keep your followers engaged. For example, try some text-only posts, like quotes or captions about your business. Or add a video or two for some visual flair. You can also include links in your posts to encourage people to click over and follow you elsewhere on the internet; this may be on your website or blog, in the form of an Instagram profile link that leads back to their main account page (which could be an additional way of tracking how much traffic is coming from each individual post).

The key here is that no matter what type of content you're posting, make sure it's high quality and relevant before posting anything at all! It's also important not just because it keeps users interested but also because higher quality images tend  to attract more likes - which can lead directly into more followers as well!

Use hashtags as much as possible!

Using hashtags on Instagram is one of the most effective ways to get more followers and engagement, but it's also one of the most confusing aspects. We've put together a list of things you should know about using hashtags for your brand:

Use hashtags as much as possible! If you only use one or two hashtags in a post, there's no guarantee that anyone will find it. The best way to make sure people see your posts is by using lots of different relevant keywords.

Choose high-engagement and popular tags that are specific to your business. If you don't know what these might be, Google "[your niche] + hashtag" and see what pops up! Chances are someone else has already come up with a great idea—use theirs instead of trying to think up something new yourself!

Aim for at least 10-15 total relevant words per post (for example "workout" + "healthy food"). This will help increase visibility for users looking for similar content online; however keep in mind that people have different preferences so don't go overboard by adding every single word under sun just because someone else does :)

Use Instagram Stories.

Instagram Stories are a great way to share behind the scenes content, your daily routine and your favorite things. When it comes to Instagram stories, there is no one-size-fits-all strategy because what works for one brand won't necessarily work for another. However, there are some basic rules that apply to all brands when it comes to using Instagram Stories:

Use stories to share unique content not found on your website or blog post - this could include behind the scenes footage from an event or tour you're hosting, interviews with staff members about their favorite part of working at your company or even just a peek into how someone uses their product (i.e., what does it do?)

Share day-to-day activities as if you were talking directly with followers/fans/customers in real life: “This morning I went shopping at [insert store name here], then I stopped by [insert coffee shop name here] on my way back home.” This allows consumers who follow you online a chance see into someone’s life without being overbearing or overwhelming them with too much information at once (which can cause people not want engage).

Utilize Instagram ads.

If you've never used Instagram ads before, Facebook's advertising platform is a great place to start.

To get started with Instagram ads:

Click on the “Create Ad” button in your ad manager app and select "Instagram" as your placements from the drop-down menu under "Placements."

Next, choose where you want your ad to reach people and how much money you want to spend by choosing one or more of these options:

Country or Territory - This can be either where your business is based or where your target audience lives. If you're unsure which country/territory would be best for this step, consider using Facebook's Global Insights tool which will let you see trends across the world and specific regions based on demographic data like age range, gender and relationship status.

Placement - Choose between targeting everyone who visits Instagram only once per day versus multiple times per day (for example: during peak hours). For example: if someone typically spends time browsing their feed while commuting home from work on Monday nights then they may not need an ad in order for them see it! For instance: if there are over 100 million active users in Indonesia but only 10 million log into the platform each month then it may not make sense for those marketers looking for engagement rates higher than 1%!"

You can grow your Instagram account if you follow the right strategy consistently.

You can grow your Instagram account if you follow the right strategy consistently. This means setting goals, using hashtags, engaging with people and using Instagram ads.

You need to set goals for how many followers you want to gain per month or week. You should also set what kind of engagement rate you want for each post that goes up on your page. For example, if you have 100 followers at the beginning of the month, try aiming for 10 new followers this month by posting consistently and following certain strategies like using hashtags in some posts or engagement on others (like liking and commenting). If you are able to achieve these goals then pat yourself on the back! Keep doing what's working while finding ways to improve as well!

Conclusion

We hope these tips have helped you get a better idea of how to grow your Instagram account. As long as you’re consistent with your posting schedule, interact with people and influencers in your space, engage with those who are already following you, use hashtags often (and strategically), and keep up with new technology like Stories and ads then there’s no reason why you shouldn't be able to see results!
