How to create a lot of content on Instagram
Want to create consistent content for your business? Here's how to make content creation effortless and rock your content marketing.
Introduction
The more content you can share, the better. It's especially important to be active on Instagram if you're a brand, but if you're an influencer or just someone who wants to grow their following then it's just as important for your success! This guide will tell you how to create a lot of content and make sure that it's relevant to your audience.
Post content that aligns with your brand.
You must post regularly to create a lot of content on Instagram. This means posting at least once a day and sometimes more than once per day. You also want to ensure that your content is relevant to your target audience.
Posting content that aligns with your brand will help boost engagement and sales because it’s authentic (and people can tell when something isn’t). When posting on Instagram, remember that consistency is key — this means posting consistently and using similar captions and hashtags every time so it feels like one cohesive piece of content instead of many different ones are thrown together haphazardly.
If possible, schedule some posts in advance so they go live at specific times throughout the week or month to help keep up the momentum in between other posts coming out later down the road (which could lead all those followers who just caught up with their feed!).
Have a tone and aesthetic.
The tone of voice is the way you speak to your audience. It’s the tone of voice you use when you write a blog post or tweet, and it should be consistent across all platforms and channels. For example, if you are writing a post about how to bake chocolate chip cookies, don't use "I" or "you" in your sentences; instead use words like “baker” and “baking” so that it sounds more professional. This will help create an authentic feel for the content and help readers connect with it because they feel like they're talking directly with someone who knows what they're doing (and not just some random person).
If you want help finding out what works best for your business's brand, think about its personality traits—the values that make up its DNA—and then think about how those ideas could translate into different types of posts on Instagram.
Share behind the scenes.
Share behind-the-scenes content to show your brand's personality.
A great way to do this is by sharing photos of your workspace or office, as well as photos of your team members working hard to make their business a success. You could also share photos of customers using your products, for an extra inspirational boost!
Mention others, and ask questions.
Another way to get people involved in your content is by asking questions. This can be a great way to get people talking about your brand, but it also gives you the chance to gauge what others think of your brand or products. If you ask a question relevant to both your brand and audience, they'll be more likely to answer it—and that means more engagement for you!
The key here is to make sure that the question aligns with both who you are as an Instagram influencer and what people expect from their interactions with your account. For example: if I were creating content about how much I love shrimp (and let's face it—I do), then asking "Which crustacean would win in a fight?" would probably not go over well with my audience. However, if I were creating content about professional basketball players' favorite seafood dishes, then someone might take notice if he saw me posting such an outrageous question on his feed one day!
Celebrate milestones with throwbacks
Post throwbacks of milestones.
Don't just post a photo of your company's first product or first office, but also of its first employee and customer.
Have a content calendar.
The best way to stay consistent and create a lot of content is to have a content calendar. The key here is knowing what you'll post before you post it so that you can stick to your schedule without worrying about forgetting something or running out of ideas. While there are many apps out there that let you plan your Instagram posts, my personal favorite is Later (for iOS), which allows me to add hashtags for every single one of my photos and then schedule them as I please. Then there's another app called Planoly (for iOS), which helps me keep track of how many people are engaging with the images I'm posting on Instagram, so I know which ones are worth sharing again at a later date.
You can be sharing more!
You can create content calendars and content creation tools. These allow you to plan out your Instagram posts ahead of time, so you know what you’re going to share and when. Tools like Canva and Pablo by Buffer are great for creating images that match your brand but don’t expect them to be any good at writing captivating text. For that, I recommend Hootsuite's Social Scheduler or a later (and more expensive) version Later for scheduling posts and sharing links on Facebook and Twitter.[3]
Conclusion
Instagram is a fun and easy way to connect with your followers. You can share behind-the-scenes content, celebrate milestones with throwbacks and engage with others by asking questions or mentioning their posts. Don’t forget about a content calendar!
