Title: Wolves At The Wall

Author: Shaun Walters

Logline:

To save his daughter, a Sheriff must embrace his own savage past as he is forced to cross under the wall that protects Mexico and the world from an America overrun by werewolves.

Synopsis:

Wolves At The Wall, is about a sheriff and his college aged daughter, trying to keep connected despite the weight of his past. They live in a Mexican tourist town next to the wall that protects the world from an America that fell prey to a lycan virus. But there’s always money to be made in breaking the rules that protect us all. And one criminal decides he needs the sheriff’s old skills to get a job done. Taking the sheriff’s daughter across the border, through an old smuggling tunnel, he forces the sheriff to follow them to a land of savages. Both man and wolf.

Author’s Note:

Listening to the constant hyperbolic stupidity about building the wall across the American border with Mexico, I decided to imagine what would happen if we truly went all the way, and then something completely unexpected happened. Something that kept America locked in and the world safe. At first, I just knew that I didn’t want it to be zombies. Soon, I settled on the idea of humans, having turned into packs of werewolves, running across the country. As I’ve written the whole treatment, and begun the dialogue, I realize in some ways it is starting to feel like something of an homage to both the horror and 80s action flicks that I grew up on, but I hope the heart and social satire will help keep it relevant and interesting to today’s audiences.

Side note, I tried to connect a link to her challenge, but Vocal would not recognize it. So I posted a link to her main page instead.

You know, it's really not that far off from reality. Can we get a wall on the northern border too? Asking for a friend.

This sounds like a potent satirical allegory in the making!
