What We Don’t Say
It’s in the laugh cut short, the sideways glance,
The “I’m fine” that hides a second chance.
In group chats left on read too long,
In liking their post but feeling all wrong.
It’s the texts we draft, then delete,
The heavy heart and restless feet.
The smile we wear like borrowed clothes,
The secret only the mirror knows.
Unspoken emotions—what a mess,
A hurricane behind "I guess."
We post memes to scream what’s real,
But even then, we don’t reveal.
"Let's hang soon," we say, but don’t.
"I’m good, thanks," we’re not—we won’t.
It's in the playlist we don’t share,
The love we feel but wouldn’t dare.
But maybe silence is the bridge we build,
A way to feel without being spilled.
And even if words never take the stage,
Our quiet truths still fill the page.
So here’s to what we leave unsaid,
The weight we carry, the tears we shed.
Unspoken, yet it’s how we’re known—
The loudest echoes are our own.
