What God do you believe in?
Not even sitting on a throne, with his staff, as if he were playing chess.
By Mauro Mueller / Quantum Dox
I believe in this one, unique God who created everything, from what we see to what we cannot see. What we hear and what we feel. And if we were created in His image and likeness, God is not walking around, with legs, arms, jeans and a t-shirt, walking down the street. Nor sitting on a throne, with his staff, as if he were playing chess with humanity, moving the pieces, giving failure to some and success to others, accidents for those who did evil things and deliverance for those who do good deeds. In my simple vision and from what I study, we are similar to Him and it is not that He is equal to us. It must be in our creative mind.
Of course, I still need a lot of study, so I could be wrong soon, as soon as they convince me with another theory, with another belief, with arguments that convince me. I perceive the divine creation of everything as something perfect that is at our complete disposal. From salt and fresh water, to everything we take from it, what we grow from the Earth and the food that divine nature provides. We have to learn and enjoy wisely. God, as creator, left everything we need in the soil and in the air.
What's more, God is not responsible for our mistakes, nor is he to blame for traffic disasters, natural tragedies and deaths. God has never touched our lives to the point of interfering in our daily lives and causing harm to any living being residing in this universe. In my curious little Deist view, I'm sure we give the direction of our lives and you can call it free will, but I believe we interfere in the outcomes of the lives around us and are influencers and influenced by the actions and attitudes of others, in all places, be it an attitude in a neighborhood in the city of Amsterdam, or where you are now. Now, much more than certainties, I leave here some questions, for you to reflect, study and help you evolve in your belief, as is also my intention. Who are you? Not your profession, position, family, social position. Who really are you, as born and placed in this world? How is your internal conversation? How is your relationship with all divine creation? What is your image and likeness of the Creator? What have you been doing to harness the full power of your divine spark? What is your relationship with peace, love, respect and compassion? Are you grateful for everything? Even what apparently might not be a cause for celebration? Do you contemplate divine creation?
Have you been walking barefoot on grass, sand, or dirt? How many times a day? In the week? In the month? In the year? How much time do you set aside for meditation? What about reading to increase knowledge? How well do you know yourself? Don't think that, by writing this chronicle, I have the answers to these questions. I am also looking for an encounter with myself and divine creation. This text is just to make you think, reflect and raise more doubts than certainties, as I believe that we only evolve when we have more doubts.
Certainty and absolute truth is somewhere and it is up to human beings to respect doubts and listen to the wise, trying to understand themselves and know who we are, the reason why we received the gift of life and what we can learn and share, until to contribute to this collective evolution. And being the image and likeness of the creator God, we have the gift of creation and learning to co-create, leaving this healthy environment can be a purpose in life, to leave a legacy for those who are arriving and those who are yet to come.
