Mini-Posters: This strategy works very well with listicles. Come back with me to ’98. I’d been writing a relationship column for the Tallahassee Democrat for 4 years, and it had been syndicated all over the world.

For a few months, I’d been taking the main points of listicles and printing them on fancy stationery with backgrounds from Office Depot. You know, 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper with a nice background like a sunset, scroll, or hearts, for instance.

I was speaking at a big event in Tampa and thought, “I wonder what would happen if I created several different versions of these and sold them for a buck?”

“I wonder what would happen if I created several different versions of these and sold them for a buck a piece?”

Here’s what happened: They sold out! When I came out of the room where I spoke, there were event staff trying to handle all the customers at my table.

Here’s where it gets really crazy. When they sold out, there was still a huge crowd of customers. Fortunately, I had brought copies on plain white paper. The event planner grabbed those and made copies. The plain white copies sold out.

I made over $1000 that day, one dollar at a time.

Imagine what you could charge on Etsy, on your website, etc. Imagine what you could charge by repurposing them into NFTs. (and spelling NFT is my complete range of knowledge on the topic)
