Chromotherapy is a technique that uses the energy of colors to help balance and heal the body, mind, and emotions. Each color has a unique frequency and specific vibration that affects our energetic system. The theory is that by exposing the body to color frequencies, it’s possible to balance the flow of energy and alleviate stress, anxiety, and other health issues.

Chromotherapy can be applied in various ways, such as illuminating a space with specific colored lights, wearing colorful clothes and accessories, or even visualizing colors during meditation. Each color has its own specific benefits, such as blue, which can help calm and relax, red, which can boost energy and motivation, or yellow, which can help improve mood.

It’s important to note that chromotherapy is a complementary technique and is not a cure for mental or physical illnesses. It is essential to consult a healthcare professional before using chromotherapy to treat any health condition. Additionally, it is important to use colors appropriately and in a balanced way to achieve the best results.

Colors have different frequencies, corresponding to the range of light wavelengths in the visible spectrum. Here’s a general breakdown of the color frequencies and their corresponding wavelengths:

1. Red

• Wavelength: ~620–750 nm (nanometers)

• Frequency: ~400–484 THz (terahertz)

• Associated Vibration: Stimulating, energizing, and linked to physical energy.

2. Orange

• Wavelength: ~590–620 nm

• Frequency: ~484–508 THz

• Associated Vibration: Creativity, joy, and emotional balance.

3. Yellow

• Wavelength: ~570–590 nm

• Frequency: ~508–526 THz

• Associated Vibration: Mental clarity, focus, and upliftment of mood.

4. Green

• Wavelength: ~495–570 nm

• Frequency: ~526–606 THz

• Associated Vibration: Healing, balance, and harmony, connected to nature and well-being.

5. Blue

• Wavelength: ~450–495 nm

• Frequency: ~606–668 THz

• Associated Vibration: Calming, cooling, and linked to relaxation and peace.

6. Indigo

• Wavelength: ~425–450 nm

• Frequency: ~668–700 THz

• Associated Vibration: Intuition, deep thinking, and spiritual insight.

7. Violet

• Wavelength: ~380–425 nm

• Frequency: ~700–789 THz

• Associated Vibration: Transformation, spirituality, and higher consciousness.

How Frequency Relates to Energy

Higher frequency colors like violet and blue are often associated with more subtle, spiritual, or mental energy, while lower frequency colors like red and orange are connected with more physical or emotional states.

These frequencies are just a rough guide, as different shades of each color can slightly vary within this range.
