Sometimes, I wonder what you're doing

there, on your side of the world

What sights now, are you viewing

what kind of magic have you twirled?

It's odd, I've never met you

still, you creep into my head

I find I'm thinking of you

as I'm crawling into bed

The things you write, inspires me

makes me think things, I might not

I find I feel a little guilty

putting you here, on the spot

The passion in your words

build up a fire, makes me whole

Though your voice, I've never heard

your words heal places in my soul

A writer never knows

how many people they will touch

The seeds that they have sown

I never dreamt, would mean so much

Though you didn't write for me, per say

It wasn't me, moving your pen

I still revel in the gracious way

you touch me, time and time again

Helping me through, bits of heartache

or celebrating with a verse

You move me into action

emphasized it with a curse

The boldness in your stories

shows the person there, behind the keys

I'm thrilled when I see a new post

like it's a special word for me

I comment my approval

sometimes you even comment back

It's that excitement on arrival

where other communications lack

The many moods we call on

to express a vision seen

The ones we'd gladly trade or pawn

to convey, just what we mean

And you, my friend, have nailed it

you always have those feelers on

I don't know how to explain it

I'm left with these conclusions drawn

You are a soul with mighty spirit

commandingly employed

And though we may not hear it

you always leave us, wanting more

Your words can move a mountain

and for one, I'll tag along

Fast flowing as a fountain

are your words that flow like song

I excitedly open your page

never knowing what I'll find

A mesmerist, a writing mage

with a flair for dropping rhyme

A sorcerer of words

spellbinding readers with your magic

A warlock wielding verbs

In ways amazing and fantastic

Communications had

without need for vocal articulation

I know that this sounds bad

I prefer the stories bold narration

For years I have made friends

with those that I will never meet

With no need to play pretend

will never hear the way you speak

Yet somehow you have filled a void

in this space inside of me

You never seem annoyed

and this I'd guarantee

Not many people can say the same

that they converse, with writing ghosts

Connected by a word game

and Vocal has become our humble host

We come from round the globe

sharing stories that bind us close together

We all share an equal hope

that we expand in our endeavors

To share our great abilities

with friendships of the cyber age

Taking bits of what's been written

using them to change our ways

We don't need a face to face

to be the friends we have become

Sitting here, in my own space

for us to be the best of chums

It's become 24/7

depending on where you call your home

Bedtime or breakfast at 11

we're rarely ever, all alone

I send a message out

next thing you know, someone chimes back

filling a void, with what I lack

No formal exchange

or I'm too busy

Too tired, doesn't mean a thing

to get the skinny

Just a heartfelt notification

and a comment to check in
