The small town of Ravenswood
The dark night

The small town of Ravenswood was never the same after the night the children disappeared. It was as if the darkness itself had swallowed them whole. The only clue was a cryptic message scrawled on the wall of the old, abandoned mansion on the hill: "They're playing with the Shadows now."
Years went by, and the town tried to move on, but the memory of the lost children lingered. The mansion, once a grand and beautiful structure, stood as a haunting reminder of the tragedy. Its windows were boarded up, its doors locked, and its grandeur was slowly being consumed by the passing of time.
But as the anniversary of the disappearance approached, a group of brave teenagers decided to explore the mansion, hoping to uncover the truth. They had heard the whispers, the rumors, and the legends, but they didn't believe them. They thought it was just small-town superstition.
As they approached the mansion, they felt a chill in the air. The wind was blowing strong, and the trees creaked ominously. The group hesitated for a moment, but their curiosity got the better of them. They pushed open the creaky front door and stepped inside.
The interior was musty and dark, the air thick with the scent of decay. Cobwebs hung from the chandeliers, and the walls were covered in a thick layer of dust. The group began to explore, their flashlights casting eerie shadows on the walls.
As they delved deeper into the mansion, they started to notice strange things. Doors would slam shut on their own, and the sound of footsteps echoed down the halls. At first, they thought it was just the wind or their imagination, but soon, they realized that something was following them.
They stumbled upon a room filled with old toys and children's clothes. In the center of the room, they found a large, antique mirror. As they approached it, they saw their own reflections staring back at them, but there was something off. Their reflections were distorted, twisted, and their eyes were black as coal.
Suddenly, the mirror shattered, and the group was plunged into darkness. When their flashlights flickered back to life, they saw that they were no longer alone. The Shadows were standing before them, their presence felt rather than seen.
The group to run, but their feet were rooted to the spot. The Shadows began to move closer, their darkness enveloping the teenagers. One by one, the group members disappeared into the void, until only one was left.
As the last teenager stood there, frozen in terror, a voice whispered in their ear: "You're playing with the Shadows now." And with that, the darkness consumed them, leaving behind only the echoes of their screams and the haunting memory of the children who had disappeared all those years ago
