The Silent Reader
– My Final Writing on Vocal.Media –
Every morning at dawn, I would sit down to write.
An empty chair by the window, steam rising from my coffee cup, and a blank screen—that was my morning. I wrote because I knew nothing else.
In every piece I wrote, there was someone—a reader I didn’t know, but imagined.
I believed—maybe they would read it. Maybe one day they’d leave a comment saying,
"This piece was the most beautiful part of my day."
But days passed, months went by, and I kept writing...
The views never came.
Not a single comment.
Sometimes I wondered if anyone even laid eyes on a single word.
At one point, I thought—
Maybe I’m just not good enough.
Then again, maybe I write too much “for myself,” and that’s why no one connects.
And finally, I realized—maybe it’s not about talent anymore.
Maybe it’s all about reach, promotion, platforms, and algorithms. Not passion.
And now today, I sit here thinking—
What’s the point?
Why should I pour my soul into words if no one is even reading?
So this is my goodbye.
Not to writing—because I can never leave that behind.
But to Vocal.Media—a place where even thousands of words remain unheard.
Today, I am saying farewell.
I didn’t make a cup of coffee today. I didn’t sit by the window.
I just wrote this one last piece.
Because when a writer writes knowing no one will read—it becomes a letter to oneself.
Still, I am grateful.
This platform once gave me dreams, even if they now feel incomplete.
These words are a part of my soul, and I believe—someday, somewhere—
they will find a home in someone’s heart.
Today I leave Vocal.Media.
But I know—words never die.
They stay, somewhere.
Maybe in the wind.
Maybe in the heart of a future reader.
I’m leaving, but the words will remain.
And that, I believe, is a writer’s true legacy.
