Today is a sad day for me in my writing as I have now finished four boxes of Rupi Kaur's writing prompts. They have all helped to inspire my creativity. Some more than others, but all have helped me with my writing. They were Gratitude, Balance, Self-love and Relationships writing prompts.

Writing prompts have made it possible for me to write daily. I would use the writing prompts at least weekly and sometimes more often. They would help me get over any start of writer's block.

Now, on to the final three prompts:

Rupi Kaur's Relationship Writing Prompts - Describe the last time you formed a close friendship.

I am close with friends I met after cancer. My LiveStrong sisters, aka Y Sisters that I met at the closest YMCA. Three of them are especially close. Two are snowbirds, so I miss them while they are gone. But we do stay in touch. We have all supported a yearly fundraising activity for the Y.

My "Cancer Lady" is a good friend. But we are both so busy, I really only see her a couple times a year.

Family and friends that help support my cancer fundraising yearly event. Some family and friends that have become closer through this fundraising time of the year.

My Poem a Day in February or PaDiF brings some people closer to me than others. I love this time every year. This year I am getting to know the local poets better as we get together in addition to our online time. This is probably the most recent friendship with a new poet to this year's PaDiF.

Rupi Kaur's Relationship Writing Prompts - Your best friend asks you to make a speech on their seventy-fifth birthday. Write it out.

My hubby is my best friend

He will be that until the end

He turned 75 in March

He would not ask something he deemed harsh

No attention to this day

He would say, but he may let me say

something on his next recovery birthday

He will be 35 in December

we have had many an adventure

I love his humor, we laugh everyday

he is the very best grandpa, and hey

He is pretty good with so many things

He does well with recovery and sings

and yodels like no other

oh brother.

He does know how to treat his wife

in a loving and caring way with no strife.

I have the best friend and guy in my life

Rupi Kaur's Relationship Writing Prompts - In what ways could your parents or guardians have supported you better? How would that have changed your life?

No regrets! Maybe if my grandmothers would have lived longer. My dad's mother died before I was born, and my mother's mom died when I was young, around age seven.

I joined in on your prompts a little while ago, and I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed them, Denise. There are some great ones that you have addressed, and doing it in such an open and honest way is a credit to you. Well done.

  • You could always Google for writing prompts. I'm sure you can find a lot for free. I always look forward to reading your stuff!

Good job on these final writing prompts. What a great homage to your husband, who is your best friend and to all your friends.
