The first axis: human/Part One: human

Part one Human

By Imad LaassiriPublished about a year ago 1 min read

An excerpt from my book (The Seven Insights), which is still in the process of being written

Human beings, mankind, or even "evolved apes"... Beyond these titles and labels lies one entity: the human. This being possesses a unique ability to comprehend itself and the world around it. When we look at ourselves, we find that we are the first to define ourselves as "I" and those around us as "you." Is this not a miracle? The profound understanding of ourselves, the world, and the creatures that share this planet with us is anything but ordinary—it is extraordinary.

What is it that grants us these remarkable abilities while other creatures lack them? How are we capable of adapting to our environment, controlling its creatures, and even influencing the world on a massive scale? With our capacity to destroy or tame, it seems we wield immense power.

Yet, as we recognize this, we find ourselves sitting on the throne of this Earth, only to rise terrified, crawling, with pale faces, once we realize that we are merely managers of what we have been entrusted to manage. But what exactly are we entrusted with? Are we truly part of something greater? Will our questions remain unanswered, or will we uncover truths that reshape our understanding of existence?

Is our Creator still present? These questions haunt us, chasing us relentlessly, forcing us to ask: Do we truly hold control, or are we but fragments of a grander design? Are we essential or secondary? Where does our interest truly lie?

It is up to humanity to answer these questions—or at least convince itself that it has—lest we destroy everything around us and ultimately annihilate ourselves.
