Reaching 100 On Vocal: But Are All Communities Equal?
This is my 100th post, and it has taken me nearly six months to reach it. I learnt about Vocal by chance, while searching for something else, and it was not a persuasive introduction. In fact, the critique from another platform was pretty scathing and off-putting. However, noting that the piece was written over two years ago, my open mind suggested that Vocal could have changed some things since then. I decided to give it a try, at least for a couple of months, as its approach aligned with what I was seeking. Well, as you can see, I am still here, so there must be something appealing about it!

Paul Stewart's "Unnerve, Unsettle, and Scare Me" Challenge Winners Announcement!. Content Warning.
Despite Stephen A. Roddewig's intention to have this little unofficial challenge end early, I stuck to my original plan. Come for me, Roddewig (lol, that sounded very threatening in my head, but actually looks rather tame on the screen. Loved that post and will provide a link, It Is First of the Month, in which he makes some good points and is very authoritative about it.)

Milestones
Introduction This is just something that makes me happy to see on Vocal and I love seeing people hit milestones. I have sometimes been criticized in the past for sharing mine but that doesn't bother me as I have a major one coming up that I may or may not share, but I am so glad to see others hitting and surpassing those milestones, often unexpectedly.

I Made It to 100*. Top Story - November 2023.
This story has been sitting in my drafts for a while. I was nervous about boring people with a clip show of my Vocal portfolio. I've seen many of these Vocal milestone pieces on the platform and I figure, why not? I'll just spice it up with my signature wit and optimism.

A Method To My Writing Madness?
Either Book Antiqua or Georgia usually, but Iām open. I will 'font-theme' around and not care how dirty it sounds. To thoughts like question marks that hang in the air wondering if they breached the detectable audible range: Cuz you swear you didnāt say nuthin'.

Boom ta ra! the winners of the Write-a-witch challenge are...
Congratulations to all who entered the unofficial Vocal Write-a-witch awards. There were some truly magical entries and everyone's a winner as far as I am concerned. But of course in any such challenge, choices have to be made. I have selected the six winners, those that I think best match the given criteria. I now need your help in ranking the stories. Please read the linked stories and comment in this thread, on which one you think should be the overall winner. Of course feel free to comment on the stories themselves, but I will only be taking into account those comments that appear below.

Dear Paul
Dear Paul, I was completely blown away by your letter. The fact that an author whose words I very much admire would spend so many of them on a personal note to me had me beaming from the moment I saw the notification. Your expression of fondness for me, even though we only know each other through our stories and interaction via comments means more than you know, Sir, so let me start this off by saying it's mutual. Now, before our wives suggest we move in together, I'll move on to the reply.

Five Nights at Freddy's
"Five Nights at Freddy's," in the world of horror games, is a notorious name known for its anxiety-evoking and startling elements. The talented Scott Cawthon developed this series, thrilling gamers with unnerving lore and chilling animatronic creatures. It's now taking the plunge from game to movie. "Five Nights at Freddy's: The Movie" isn't simply another game-turned-film; it's a cinematic event that keeps viewers nervously excited.
