The Birth of the Squirrel
Once upon a time, there was a great and powerful wizard who lived in a far-off land. This wizard was known for his incredible magic, and people came from all over the world to see him. One day, a young boy came to the wizard and asked him to teach him magic. The wizard agreed, but he said that the boy would have to prove himself first. The boy was determined to prove himself to the wizard, so he set out on a journey to find the most magical object in the world. He traveled far and wide, through forests and over mountains, until he came to a dark and mysterious cave. Inside the cave, he found a glowing crystal. The crystal was so beautiful that he knew it had to be the most magical object in the world.He took the crystal back to the wizard, and the wizard was amazed. He had never seen anything like it before. He knew that the crystal was incredibly powerful, and he decided to use it to create something new. He worked his magic, and soon a new creature was born. It was a small and furry creature, with big eyes and a bushy tail. The wizard called it a squirrel. The squirrel was unlike anything the world had ever seen before. It was playful and curious, and it loved to climb trees and gather nuts. People were amazed by the squirrel, and they began to keep them as pets. The squirrel became a symbol of magic and wonder, and people would often say that they had seen a squirrel in their dreams. And that, my friend, is the story of how the squirrel came to be. It's a story that has been passed down from generation to generation, and it still inspires wonder and awe today. Writing is a privilege
I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. Whether it was writing my letters repeatedly in kindergarten, my diary entries that are too embarrassing to read again, or even now. My thoughts on paper (or on a screen) are more than I ever thought capable of myself. I have revealed parts of myself I could only say in a mirror or to a therapist when I write. I have told the Vocal community about my emotional abuse by an ex and my weight issues. I have read about people's issues and their dreams. Our words are our connection, and we can use them for good or bad. Thankfully, here on Vocal, it's the latter. We are privileged beyond any doubt to be where we are in time.
