Learn to Love Writing
September 2021: I became officially, unequivocally, a full-time professional writer. My rolling admin contract with the university I had been working at finally had an end date stamped onto it. That pretty much took the decision out of my hands. I would just let that day come and go, and when it came and went, I would be a full-time professional copywriter, because I literally had nothing else!

In My Mind ~ Surviving with ADHD
There are so many misconceptions of ADHD no one takes it seriously. It's so simpler to Autism it should be in the spectrum. I don't share this because I'm always afraid I'm won't be treated equally to my peers, or co-workers. On job applications I have checked off I don't wish to say when it comes to the disability part. I hate the word disability, so much so it's close to loath. It's like it's inviting me to be mistreated or bullied.

Bob Marley and the 7 Chakras
For many, the name Bob Marley conjures up the caricature of a party-going, ganja-smoking Rastaman. For others, it evokes the image of a freedom fighter dedicated to peace and brotherhood. During his brief but intense career, Marley was both. Even now, many years after his transition, his music is known and appreciated by people who couldn’t name another reggae musician if they had to. Perhaps that’s because Marley was more than just a pop singer.

Nailed it yet?
One of the great things about being a Vocal+ member is the chance to stretch your skills, broaden your boundaries and take a step out of your comfort zone by entering Vocal challenges. To me, any attempt at writing poetry is a giant leap beyond anything I feel comfortable with.

Why Writers Need To Have a Social Media Presence
In today's digital age - everything is online and in our hands. Everything from grocery shopping to dating is done through the power of our phones and many of the decisions we make in our daily lives are directly linked to the advertisements and posts we see and interact with online.

Dear Vocal 2024
Dear Vocal, I am not sure how meta it is to address the writing website that I am currently writing an article for, but it feels right, at least to me. Because, as I enter into your 200th challenge(Congratulations by the way!!) I have to say something to you. Thank you. Honestly and truly, thank you.
