Inspiration
Fantasy Tips
I am a writer. My blood is made of ink, my heart is fabricated with inspiration alone and my mind has wrinkles and divots of old parchment paper. My skin is radiant with mythological facts and histories. My eyes will swallow you like the depths of the ocean and my soul whispers the lines of old gods.

Dearest Solitude
Dearest Solitude, I find myself nestled in the heart of this old house, where the wooden beams sigh with age and the curtains sway with the breeze of forgotten summer afternoons. This place, wrapped in layers of dust and dappled light, is your kingdom. It is where I come to sit by the hearth of my own quiet thoughts, a humble hearth that knows no fire but the slow burn of my own musings.

Where do stories come from?
Ideas are funny things. They seem to pop out of nowhere, or sometimes come about as the result of a life event, seeing a film, reading a book, taking a walk in the woods. Sometimes they have a transitory existence, forgotten almost before they enter your consciousness. Sometimes they solidify, grow into a plan, a movement, a programme, philosophy, doctrine, religion. Let's not worry about all that though. We are writers and as writers we love to turn the best ideas into stories. But where to find them?

Silver Sway
I saw Felicity Young's body blur into a haze of black and silver with every sway her hips gave towards the music, high upon the scarlet stage. The way her eyelids were softly closed, eyelashes beaded with sweat, somehow her heavy-black mascara holding up—traveled to me like a familiar scene from a 1920s city film. The ocean-thumps of a double bass laid out as a blanket beneath Felicity's warm melodic rays. I felt her voice make patterns across my soul.

Comfort Zone Catastrophe: The Impact on Mental Health and Personal Growth
Comfort Zone Catastrophe: The Impact on Mental Health and Personal Growth Choosing comfort over discomfort can lead to unhealthy habits and ultimately contribute to feelings of depression. I am grateful that I have embraced stepping out of my comfort zone and challenging myself. It is common for people to stick to routines and avoid challenges, but I have learned the importance of pushing myself to grow. It is human nature to gravitate towards what is easy, whether it be sticking to familiar habits, maintaining a stagnant job or business, indulging in unhealthy eating habits, or spending excessive time on social media. Criticizing others is also a simple and common behaviour. This is all about remaining within your familiar and safe space.

A Letter to You
Before I post my next work I felt it was important to address a common theme that I explore in my writing. Love. Recently commenters have called my writing "interesting" or an odd way to describe love; because, in some cases I've chosen to focus on sides of love that are less frequently visited. For example, I've posted two poems about my sister. One addresses the aspects about her that would make me squirm, if anyone else did them. But because she’s my sister those things make me love her even more. The other poem paints a very stereotypical picture of an angelic sisterly admiration. Both address love but they do it in very different ways.
