SLEEP STUDY

To accurately determine whether you are a simple snorer or have underlying obstructive sleep apnea, we may recommend sleep studies.
These tests are extremely valuable in diagnosing and treating various sleep disorders, including neurologic, movement, and breathing disorders at night. Recognized and covered by most healthcare insurers, sleep study testing is an essential step in understanding your condition.
There are two broad types of sleep studies, and your sleep study doctor will advise you on the best option for you:
An ambulatory sleep diagnostic system suitable for home use.
A formal full sleep study (polysomnography) undertaken at a sleep study clinic.
Once the sleep study is completed, it is scored and sent to a sleep study specialist for interpretation.
Sleep studies are generally easy to tolerate, comfortable for patients, and provide the sleep physician with the information needed to accurately diagnose and treat sleep disorders, including sleep study for sleep apnea.
