SHE WAS MY BEGINNING
GRACEFUL BEAUTY, BREWED WITH TIME

SHE WAS MY BEGINNING
The moment I laid eyes on her—
I had just finished screaming,
So naturally, my eyes were watery.
But even through the blur,
I made it a point to look at her in all her glory.
Not because I already knew her—
But because of something deeper,
something unseen,
Gently lifted my chin to bask in her beauty.
And in that moment, I knew.
I was exactly where I was meant to be.
In her arms.
Without hesitation—safe.

Your poem is beautiful. I can feel how deeply you loved her—how safe and seen she made you feel from the very beginning. She must have been an incredible woman to raise someone as kind, loving, and thoughtful as you. Thank you for sharing her with us. I see your version of her in you every day.
