On letting go

I am the heaven and the earth, the life and death, of existence and wandering in the magnanimous horizons of heavenly amour, I am love and I am light. Of all the endearments of life, I choose to be liberated. What does eternal and absolute liberation mean, does it mean galloping in the chaos with unadulterated joy and not being attached to the situational stance of impermanence. Or does it mean not being held captive by the dungeons of our own mind, of meeting every new space, entity, time, person and circumstance with the newness of infancy? How do we define a life well lived, an existence strided with unleashed and unparalleled love of what we are in every stance of our time spent on this mortal earth? I guess no one can answer that. The question lies in the subjectivity of the dearth of pain and the depths of the learnings that one’s life strides them through. In every breath that we take, in every commotion we indulge and in every space that confines us with another individual, life enamors a myriad of choices that consciously or subconsciously embrace that leads us to the life we live.

I am the entity of the anomalies that were embraced as alternatives to live life by the version of me that existed. Every ounce of our being, the lightness, the pain, the depths of animosity, the shadows of parts that we feel ashamed to reveal, the beauty that we see in ourselves and through the beholding glance of others, is the constitution of our fostering being. How often do we shame ourselves for things we failed at or the times where we felt insignificant, stupid, the times we overshared ourselves or the times we got our heart broken for diving deeper into the openness of being vulnerable. It takes courage to see ourselves in non judgemental light, in accepting the humanness we bear, in giving ourselves the chances we so often give others. It takes radical acceptance in being the love for ourselves we so easily beckon to be for others.

Lost in the dreariness of who I wished I could be,

I drowned myself in the depths of the version of me the world constructed to see,

In the convenience of being perceived as an entity who had it all together,

The conundrums of forgery infused the rage of who I should be in the radiance of endeavors

Often lost in how I am seen, we forget the joy in the truths of ourself we must find,

To be in love with the essence of thee, to nurse the heart and ignite the passionate mind.

Letting go is the only way we can embrace shedding our old selves and stepping into the versions we are always meant to be. I embrace the person I am today and here is what I let go of.

1) I let go of the need to be perfect in every endeavor I take. Perfectionism is the root of procrastination, and silencing our inner need of being picture perfect makes us accountable for what lies in front of us.

2) I let go of the fear of the unknown- Uncertainty in the unknown of the life that prevails in the impending storm of swimming or sinking through the waters of challenges, the only thing we can hold on is faith. The relentless devotion of our hearts in our abilities and the divine protection of the universe.

3) I let go of the stress of what other people think of me- I am safe and secure in who I am and nobody’s good or bad opinion of me can diminish me in who I am. Letting go of what others think of you and focusing on what you think of yourself is how you chose to be at peace

4) I let go of my past- Don't let the painful past blackmail the present to ruin a beautiful future that belies to be yours

If you chose today,

It is your choice

To wallow in the darkness of the past or to embrace the light of today.

To be mourning the loss of what could have or to be rejoicing in the radiance of what is and what is about to be.

What do you choose?
