My Writing Online Goals for January 2026
What are your goals for 2026?
December was one of my best months in 2025. I wasn't expecting to hit so many goals in one month, and I'm quite happy with the results! I think that this is a good sign for the new year of 2026, and I can't wait to see what is in store for me this coming year!
Blogger: This month was my second best when it came to views! I ended with 7,883, going about 383 over my limit of 7,500! This was a huge achievement for me, and I'm so happy that I hit my goal!
Medium & Vocal Media: I ended with a total of $13.65 from both platforms. I made $11.54 from Vocal Media, and $2.11 from Medium. I just needed $11.35 to hit my goal of $25! I think this was by far the closest I have ever been to my goal!
Benable: I made about $1.44 from the platform last month. December was one of the slowest months for me, but at least I made something!
YouTube: I was so close to hitting my goal of 1,250! I only needed about 2 more subscribers! 1,248 was still a huge achievement for me, so that was pretty cool!
TikTok: This is my first month of not posting on TikTok. I sort of lost my streak after a while, because I'm now focusing on other online stuff. I was surprised that I reached 11,800 followers. I did not expect to gain an extra 100 followers!
Threads: I stayed stuck at 80 followers for the month of December. This was a first for me, but I still had fun posting on the platform!
YouTube Public Watch Hours: I can't believe I went past my goal of 33 watch hours! I reached 43, and it was one of my biggest achievements in the month of December!
Now that my losses and wins have been listed…here are my new goals for January.
Blogger: I'm aiming for a bit of a higher number this time around. Since December was pretty great for me, I think it's fair to aim for a bigger view count. Since I now have about 8,120 views, I'm going to aim for 9,300 this time around. I think that I can pull it off for the month of January!
Medium & Vocal Media: I'm not going to give up on my goal of $25. Vocal Media last month was my best achievement so far. I literally made about $10 from one article last month! This platform has been working so well for me, and I'm going to stick with my goal of $25! Hopefully I'll finally hit my goal in January!
Benable: I'm sticking with the $3 mark for January. Something tells me I'm going to hit my goal this time, because I made a $1.81 on the 3rd of this month, so I think I'm 100% going to hit my goal!
YouTube: I'm still hitting around 20 followers per month with YouTube, so I'm going to stick with that route. I'm now aiming for about 1,270 for January. I just need 22 more to hit the goal!
TikTok: I'm now going to post on this platform here and there during the month. I don't think I have to post every day anymore, I'm doing pretty good on views and followers! I'm still aiming for the goal of 12,000 followers!
Threads: This platform is kind of tough for me to gain a single follower. I always forget to post everyday, so I need to come up with some kind of routine to make this work for me! I'm gonna stick with the goal of 85 followers, because it's so hard to even get one!
YouTube public watch hours: YouTube has been a huge surprise for me lately. I haven't been expecting for several of my videos to reach a certain amount of views, and I think December has been my best month overall! I'm going to raise the watch hour views to 80. I think I can pull this off, and I keep underestimating my views on YouTube. I'm going to aim big this time!

"Do It Again" the track that would ultimately open the Beach Boys final album on Capitol Records which was released on February 10th 1969 had originally been released as a single in August of 1968. The track was the first of many post-Pet Sounds era throwbacks to the early Beach Boys sound which would become continually more cliched and eventually lead the Beach Boys to the level of self-parody they would eventually succumb to in the 1980s while their closest contemporaries The Beatles nearing the end of their run in 1969 would go on to be viewed as the most influential band of all time. However, the song itself is not bad on its surface, and it opens with a futuristic sounding (for 1969) drumbeat captured by then-Beach Boys engineer Stephen Desper using tape delays on the drums performed by Dennis Wilson and John Guerin. The song has been re-recorded numerous times over the years on various Beach Boys-related projects most notably the 2011 re-recording at Capitol studios featuring the five surviving Beach Boys at the time backed instrumentally by various members of both the Brian Wilson Band and Mike Loves touring "Beach Boys" to promote the then upcoming Beach Boys 50th Anniversary reunion tour in 2012. The hammering and power drill sound at the end of the song was an excerpt from a track called "Workshop" that was to be a part of the uncompleted "SMiLE" album.
