Ah, I think it's about time to share them, all in one place.
With over 250 stories in the bank (as of writing this in August 2025), I'm proud to say I have a small collection of stories that have made it to the front page since I joined Vocal!
Of course, I'll try to keep this page as updated as possible, but for now, consider this a huge ✨thank you✨ for all the support - likes, comments or subscriptions - I've found in my time here!
And don't worry, I'm here to stay (HA! You're stuck with me)
Thanks again and I hope you enjoy this little step through time 🌱

- Salty Truth: My very first Top Story, based on a dream I had! Witchy, mysterious and dramatic.
2. New World: First Top Story in the Poets community! Strong social commentary about loneliness and hidden truths.
3. the gaps: This one's an oldie, but speaks strongly about the world from a woman's lens. Also, enjoy some rare but satisfying rhyme.
4. cliff face: This story is actually a fast-paced, very raw monologue, yet I posted it to the Poets community.
**Content warning for this one!**
5. sunflower seeds and that time i shot a bird: very dark, moody and gothic poetry.
**Content warning for this one**
6. 3 black Xs where my locker number was: a strange account of events, described for a film scene without dialogue. Strong themes of loneliness, silent suffering and change.
**Content warning for this one**
7. Reckoning: This is a very surreal poem, taking me back to my roots (immense amounts of raw poetry). I prefer unedited, 'verbatim' writing, where emotion is captured and preserved directly by the first words that flow into the page; yet this often means I don't know specifically "what" I am trying to say, and can only really remember what I pictured while I wrote. That being said, this one carries baggage.
8. I have a Pen-Pal: Posted (get it?) to Humans, this one's lighthearted - a conversation with a hint of poetic spice.
9. Chimney Soot: A piece where we see Gwen Harwood's poem 'Suburban Sonnet' turned into a fictional story!
10. touchy-feely: This one's sweet, emotional poetry - a hug in words all about friendships, kindness and joy.
11. what i realised: Vivid, fractured poetry that explores the journeys we must go on to find ourselves (and the realisation that there's never just one way)
12. crushed garlic: A recipe for good pasta hidden within bitter, proud and hurting words.
13. Kindness is...: From a tender, raw and bruised place deep inside a healing heart, accompanied by a bold and empathetic understanding of the world's need for kindness.

And that is all so far!
Having these little moments of recognition are a special snapshot of how far I've come as a writer and an explorer. As you probably know, I predominantly write poetry, but I've definitely grown more open to different kinds of stories, and intend to keep writing with wherever the words take me.
As always, thank you for coming along for the ride and supporting my little writing corner!
Stick around for some exciting projects (most notably my anthology which is under construction!)
