She asked me once if I’d let the flashes of us dissolve into just me.
Little did she know, she’d linger in every fragment of my mind.
She’s there in the vast expanse of the sky,
She’s there in the rain’s relentless fall,
She’s there in the shifting clouds above,
She’s there in the stars that pierce the dark.
She’s there in every song that strikes deep,
She’s there in love’s consuming heat,
She’s there even in the void where nothing stays,
She’s there, haunting the empty space.
