Is reading or writing important?
Reading is important, and writing is even more important!

The essence of reading is comprehension, and thinking at the core of comprehension.
Human reading goes through several different stages.
The first stage, the contact stage.
We go to constant contact with the text, at this time in fact, there is not much requirement for our reading, as long as you find it fun.
Slowly we move to the second stage, the literacy stage. That is, I already know the word.
The third stage, decoding stage.
What is the meaning behind the words? Actually your brain needs to decode it. You don't just see each word, you are able to see all the words linked together in a sentence, what message it is conveying.
The fourth stage is the hardest, the comprehension stage.
There are people who read a lot but do not understand the deeper meaning behind the message they are trying to convey. If you want to improve your reading ability, the core issue is to constantly train in comprehension.
The essence of writing is expression, and the kernel of expression is your heart.
We have thoughts and feelings about the world in our hearts. To write truly is to write from the heart.
If we want to write well, your heart must be rich. The fundamental meaning of writing is empathy.
How do you develop a rich heart?
First, you must be keenly observant. You are able to capture all kinds of details in life, and the same is true for reading, you are able to capture all kinds of details in a book.
Second, after having a keen observation, it is crucial to savor the details. Capture a detail will be quiet to analyze, quiet to read. That's what good writing is all about.
Adults need to pay extra attention to writing.
The adult world is faced with money, work, worldly affairs, and people.
It has been said that on the road to "wealth freedom," you and I must learn to write.
Writing is a rare way to sell "a piece of time" many times over, and it's the only way most people can get started at a low cost.
The number of people who keep the habit of "writing" even after graduating from school should be a minority in the whole social environment.
If you are not a writer, an author, a journalist, or a member of the media, do you still need to pay attention to writing?
At this stage still ask yourself the same question:
"Which is more important, reading or writing?"
Reading is certainly important, as long as you are literate there is an immediate need to read.
Now you can try asking yourself:
"I have read a lot of books and articles, why do I always forget what I have read, or read and forget?"
If you hold the view that reading is more important than writing, then you don't have to put in the effort, you don't have to make the effort, your brain is naturally in a comfort zone, and you probably don't even need to hold that view, everyone thinks so.
When you read a lot, your body gets tired.
There's a saying in the Bible, "Read much and your body grows weary; write many books and there is no end to them."
Authoring many books is not something you can do just because you want to do it, but of course when you begin to put pen to paper, you begin a journey that has no end.
Once you have made reading notes, output your own thinking and opinions, combined with the ideas in the book to summarize your own feelings, then the results produced through reading are visible black and white.
If you have been suffering from the fact that you can not stick to reading, or even the quality of reading is not high, then start to value writing from the inside, which may be an important decision to flip the concept and life.
The notion that "writing is more important" can be reversed to promote an increase in the quality of your reading.
What's not to love about the fact that in the long run, your reading quantity and comprehension speed will also increase!
