Twenty-year-old Cecile’s life was upended for the first time. Despite having a supportive family, life’s unpredictable twists spared no one. Cecile enjoyed an extremely comfortable life, pursuing her passion for set design, supported by her successful businessman father, rising actress mother, and internationally acclaimed ballerina sister.
However, when her grandmother was diagnosed with pneumonia, Cecile’s fairytale existence came to an abrupt halt. With no one available to care for her peculiar Nana, Cecile’s mother pleaded with her to nurse her grandmother in the foreign town of Enschede, Netherlands—an old lady Cecile had met only once.
Resentful and heartbroken, Cecile reluctantly left behind her dreams and her home in York. But as the seasons changed, she discovered unexpected opportunities in Enschede. To her surprise, a new door opened, allowing her to pursue the dream she thought she had abandoned. Alongside this newfound hope, her grandmother gradually found a special place in her heart.
