If Heaven Had A Telephone

If heaven had a telephone,

I would first call my mom and dad.

There is so much that I would say.

The phone calls would make me feel glad.

On days when life would get me down,

I think I would shed lots of tears.

I would tell them all my problems;

All of my hopes, dreams and my fears.

I would call all my grandparents,

And get to know my dad's mom, dad.

I know they both raised my dad right

And made his life happy, not sad.

Of course I would call Gary, Ann.

And some friends who have passed away.

I miss all these people a lot.

On Earth they sent a shining ray.

I would call some aunts and uncles

Who brightened my life many ways.

I'd thank them for being my friends

And give them compliments and praise.

I would want all of these people

To take the time to call me too.

I would wish I could give them hugs

And tell each of them "I love you."
