Have you ever had a moment when you suddenly didn’t want to work hard?

It's not that you are not strong enough, but that you are really tired

By LucianPublished 9 months ago 2 min read

Have you ever tried, on an ordinary morning, when you woke up, you suddenly thought: "I really don't want to work hard anymore." It's not a breakdown and crying, nor is it anger, but a deep boredom - for life, for yourself, and even for the word "persistence".

This is not laziness, but a tired silence. You used to work hard and really wanted to get better, but it seems that the harder you work, the more life is like a wall, and it will only hurt more when you hit it.

1. The collapse of adults is often silent. Do you remember when you collapsed last time? It may not be when you are experiencing something big, but in some insignificant moments: the crowded subway, the boss's reproach, an unanswered message, and the reminder of the bank card balance. Life will not crush you all at once, it will use fragmented ways to hollow you out bit by bit. You are still holding on, still saying "I can" - but your heart has actually begun to waver.

2. If you don't want to work hard, it doesn't mean you have failed.

We are often kidnapped by words like "positive" and "struggle".

It seems that once you say "I don't want to work hard", it means you have given up and you have no future.

But the truth is: sometimes you stop in order not to continue in the wrong direction.

You don't need to run forward all the time.

You can also squat down and take a breath occasionally, even if you cry, it doesn't matter.

People are not perpetual motion machines, and you are not superman.

You are just a person who is trying to live, with emotions, fatigue, and the right to say "I want to take a break".

3. Some persistence is worse than learning to let go of yourself.

Giving up is not degeneration, but making a gentler choice for yourself after weighing the pros and cons.

It doesn't matter if you don't do some things;

Some people, leaving is not necessarily a bad thing.

Please remember that you don't need to compare your life with anyone.

You have done a good job, really.

🖤 Thank you for reading.

If you have also had that moment when you don't want to work hard,

please remember that it is not your fault.

The world is moving too fast, but you can slow down and take care of the real you.
