Seasons surround me
Spring
So many planted
Yet just the one smiling through
Its orange face gleams.
Summer
He sits on the dock
Light streaming across his back
The sun loves my dog.
My beloved friends all
Know they have my love because
They are nature’s gifts
To me.
I will mow the grass
A tiny frog leaps ahead
No one mows today.
I request your love
If only for a moment.
Winter
But listen. Silence.
Frozen. It is time.
Earth shivers in her white shawl.
The snow goose must fly.
