Rupi Kaur’s Relationship Writing Prompts — I would like the relationship between my partner and my family to look like ____________.

One reason my husband number three is “The Charm” is that my grandchildren and great-grandchildren all love him. And he has that same lovable, fun to be with nature with me. I grew up too young and too fast and didn’t play enough, so I got that with my husband.

We can be silly, and I need that for my grandchildren, no matter how old and mature they get they must know they can still act silly and play, and not worry about how that will look or think, “I don’t have time for that.”

Sometimes my husband is to blame for hyping up the young ones before bed. They appear to be more tired when they are done, whether it is running, or laughing or just being loud.

Their parents are tired and will sometimes get after the children. I say to get after Grandpa as he is causing the ruckus. He doesn’t care as right then he is their age and having fun. He can be strict too when it counts. Our adult children benefit from his charm as well.

Rupi Kaur’s Relationship Writing Prompts — Dreams that I hope to share with my future or current partner are ___________.

I have had dreams of growing old together

and I have that dream and I wouldn’t rather

be younger, and I am okay with aging

I work part-time and still am disengaging

We have enough to be comfortable

while still being affordable

We have lots of grandchildren and seven children

And look forward to more great-grandchildren

~

Then if we live long enough, we will have great great

grandchildren and that will be first-rate

that is one thing I am having trouble waiting for

I can wait as I’m not pushing for teen pregnancy or

any great grands that are not in the plan

Finishing my book, and a few more will be nice, and man

I have work to do with all of that yet and that is okay

My business is fun, and I want that for others today

Everyone having a good Sunday, Monday and all the rest

My life is good, we’ve hit some tough spots but we are blessed.

Rupi Kaur’s Relationship Writing Prompts — Describe or imagine your first kiss. How did you feel in that moment?

The first kiss was great. The guy on the other hand was not my mate. He was the best kisser up until the hubbies. I didn’t know better until some studies.

I couldn’t help but go back for more until the fighting took over. It happened too much for me to crossover. We weren’t getting along as he was ashamed to be an Indian and he was ashamed of his family. I couldn’t understand as I am Indian and what would that mean for me.

It was time to give the kissing up when I decided that wasn’t a good enough reason to stay. Shortly after I found the guy that would sway. He was older and had more practice and he could kiss like no other. I ignored the age difference and went all out for him, it helped that I knew and trusted his brother.

Today there have been three husbands and 50+ years of kissing. I can not complain about all of that and I sure don’t think I can say anything to do with kissing has been missing!

Brilliant, relatable piece of writing. It reminds me so much of myself and my wife, as our grown-up daughter and her two toddlers both currently live with us. Your story reminds me what our evenings are like at home too... lovely to have read❤️.
