Did Rainbows array themselves across the sky, waving a last goodbye to the Queen and Pope.

An eerie phenomenon.

Rainbow which appeared on the night Pope Francis died. (Photograph by 15 y/o Chris)

At approximately 8pm UK time on the exact days that Queen Elizabeth II and Pope Francis died...A giant rainbow appeared over the English skies. I have no idea if anyone else realized this eerie phenomenon...but it had me wondering about the lives of those who serve the people and whether somewhere, someone keeps watch for the sainthood of some of the denizens of this world.

Now, I know nothing of the hearts of these two souls, what they have done or not done, or whether they are deserving of divine guidance into the beyond...wherever that may be. But the fact remains, giant rainbows were etched across the beautiful night sky on the day that they both bid us farewell.

Did someone in the creator realm say:

"Well done thou good and faithful servant...I will send a rainbow to accompany your journey to the next phase of your existence".

It literally sent shivers down my spine to think of such an incident, real or imagined.

I know, I know...it is just coincidence...or is it?

I would not have noticed it myself, but for the 15 y/o amateur photographer and world expert on weather, geography, nature and anything celestial related in our family. Like a perceptive, budding detective, he observes everything. Astronomy and such the like is his life ambition.

View from our front door.

We have the time documented, and the pictures from both dates of the passing of queen and pope.

Whatever the reason for this occurrence. It bears a moment of though about the events and miracles which go unseen and unnoted by us everyday.

We send a silent prayer and wishes for peace in the world as they go to their otherworldly destination, and we to our day, pondering life and its many mysteries.

  • Or perhaps they were intended specifically for the two of you to see, & so connect you to something more. Whatever the reason or cause, it does feel inspiring.

To Our wonderful amateur photographers...well done. I want a rainbow myself, so i will find that pot of gold. I wonder if we will find them, queen and pope there handing out the gold. Miracles and coincidences...who knows. But worth pondering.

  • There is probably always a rainbow somewhere, and if it is synchronous with a significant event we can draw our own conclusions
