Being Sincere to Everyone...

What it feels like?

By KomalPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

I’ll be honest—being sincere isn’t some grand strategy of mine. I’m not plotting world peace or trying to win “Best Human of the Year.” It’s just how I roll.

Sincerity feels lighter, like wearing flip-flops instead of heavy boots.

It’s freeing to say what I mean and mean what I say.

I guess it’s because life’s complicated enough. People already deal with fake smiles, polite lies, and weird small talk. Who needs more of that? I figure, if I can be the one person who’s real with you—genuinely happy for your wins, or quietly there for your lows—it might matter. Even just a little.

Also, sincerity’s got perks. It’s drama-free.

No need to remember what I said to whom, no energy wasted on facades. And the best part? It attracts the right people—the ones who vibe with your honesty, who give it back in their own way.

So, yeah, I’m sincere. Not because I’m perfect or wise, but because it feels good.

It’s me, doing me. Simple as that.

Your words are wonderful. Yes, we truly need honesty in a materialistic world full of selfishness and personal interests. Your message is truly important; keep being sincere, as it’s rare and will be your unique strength.✨✨

Wow!!! This was so good! My favorite sentence was the comparison you made with the word sincerity. (flip flops vs. boots). Your writing style is personal and relatable as well, as I often feel like I try to be this way in life as well.

Caitlin said exactly what I was thinking. Drama free...wonderful. We can feel this in your comments and I want to let you know how much I for one appreciate your sincere honesty.

  • OooOOoo I love this so much! I've made a point to lean into this and you are right, it feels so good! 💜

Oh I love that, the perks of being sincere is that it’s free of drama. I also like that you gave us a glimpse into your personality as well as giving us an idea of what being sincere feels like. Wearing flip flops is comfortable, heavy boots, not so much. I like that it also tells us that you want to wear sincerity all the time, because life is not a show. We don’t need to be fake. But if we are sincere, we only carry half the weight of the battle. I absolutely loved this piece sis 👌🏽♥️👏🏽🤗

Id paddle in that canoe with you all day 🛶🛶🛶 This kinda topic came up for me the other day: some grumpy coworker said "why do people do that blah i hate the elevators because fake people ask fake questions they dont even care to know the answer to"... I usually mind my biz but something made me... 🪩💃tap tap... is this thing on? 🎙️... 📣 And i was all... 'while i generally obey sourpuss elevator protocol and mind my own business...im one of those awful people that asks how others are... but its because i genuinely do care how they are. I, care to hear. Every word. For as long as that moment is. 🎤🔥🗽

Well-wrought! Is there a distinction between honesty and sincerity, you think? Dropping this quote here, as, in some ways, it's relevant to what you're saying: "The question of normality in a person is usually decided on the basis of how similar his personality characteristics are, both in frequency and in force, to those psychosomatic processes most often encountered in a given society. The most frequent and thus "normal" traits express themselves in the following norms: practical rather than theoretical intelligence, predominantly egocentric rather than alterocentric attitudes toward society, and preponderance of the self-preservation, sexual, exploratory, and social instincts. These traits are commonly in compliance with group thinking and behavior and are often accompanied by minor, "safe" dishonesty. Such a group of "normal" traits in a person should, according to many, allow us to describe him as mentally healthy. Can we agree? No. This formulation is humiliating to mankind; a more suitable definition of mental health must contain, besides average values, exemplary ones." -Kazimierz Dobrowski, "Positive Disintegration"

This is so relatable! One who's sincere to everyone is not loved as much as he/she loved to be.
