One day when I was out walking in the woods on a snowy January day I came upon several animal paths. I believe one path to follow was a rabbit trail, one was a bird's trail, and the other was a dog's trail. I am a curious walker in the winter, so I decided to follow the bird's trail and see what kind of day a bird may have. I didn't get far for after about a foot of deep snow I presume that the bird decided to take flight.
So, I went back to where I started and followed the rabbit tracks. This trail I followed and followed and ended up going in circles for that is when I decided to go back and follow the dog's tracks that would lead me to all sorts of areas. I followed and they led me to a small stream that I jumped across to see the trail again. I kept following and the dog must have smelled something around a fallen log and he or she sniffed it out, then continued on his way. I kept falling the dog's trail for it was leading me back to home for wouldn't you the trail I was following belonged to my own dog for he loved the snow as much as I do.
As I entered my house I called to my dog and told him he must have had quite the adventure for I followed your trail. I curled up in on couch with my dog on my lap cuddled in a big soft blanket for an afternoon nap. This snowy day did actually happen a very long time ago and I hope you enjoy my winter memory.
