5 Facts About Me
I am not a robot
It's quite funny that in the last few months I have been treated like ChatGPT more than once. Some people use ChatGPT, some people apparently are ChatGPT. So I thought I would do a list of five things about myself as a person to let you all know that I am in fact, a human being. If my Cloud Atlas entry for the 'I Wrote This' challenge didn't do it for you, I like to think that this will give you more context.
1. My favourite item is my Kindle
Obviously, I'm always bragging about Kindle deals and things I have found on Kindle for free or less money than usual. My favourite item ever is probably my Kindle because it saves me having to lug around actual books. The lugging avoidance is quite important and fact #2 should show you why.
2. I'm short and I don't like it
Scraping in at about 5ft 2 (but according to some doctors I am 5ft 1 - I'm not sure whether I should be measured with an iPhone though - how accurate is it really?), I am vertically challenged. I tend to wear boots with small platforms to get up to about 5ft 4 or 5ft 5, I'm really not sure how big the platforms on your usual Timberlands are, but those are the shoes I wear to make myself taller.
3. I love podcasts
I am probably nearly always listening to a podcast if I'm by myself. From horror stories on NoSleep, to my favourite LiteratureAndHistory.com, BBC Radio 4's In Our Time and even the Conspiracy Theories podcast. I love listening to stories and analysis as much as I love reading it. Why? Well, it can be quite immersive and whilst writing, I can't really think of a better thing to listen to.
4. My favourite food is sushi (controversial)
I have recently come across threads of 'overrated food' and many of the answers say sushi. I am sorry but that is wrong. I will not be accepting that when ramen is literally right there. I have no idea why I added this one in, I think I'm kind of just begging to be thought of as an actual person at this point. But honestly, if you have never had nice sushi, you are missing out.
5. Croissants gross me out
I don't know why but the whole deal tastes like you're eating someone who has physically blown up your food through a straw. It's pretty much me with any flaky pastry. It disgusts me and it's kind of sad. For those of you from England like myself, you will notice that this flaky pastry disgust also includes the sausage roll. I like sausages, but not the flaky pastry. I'm sorry but I don't think anyone could pay me enough money to eat a croissant. Flaky pastry might be gross to me, but a croissant being shaped like a snail and having that thin multi-layered texture makes me feels like I'm eating lots of crepe paper.
Conclusion
This was just meant to be a bit of fun. I hope you have realised that I am not, in fact, a robot - if that wasn't clear already.

This was so much fun to read (and sad that it’ feels almost necessary to share). The croissant comment made me chuckle. I myself enjoy the taste but COMPLETELY understand where you’re coming from. Super fair. You stay clear of these flaky (both as a physical and personality description) foods 😁
Dear Ms. Annie ~ Me thinks you Protest too Much ~ j.in.l.a.
Welllll I like chocolate croissants but only if made like the French! Sushi - raw fish? I will eat the ones with cucumber, cream cheese and salmon but the others are gross to me. My daughter loves sushi, but she also likes oysters and clams, which I don’t. Do you actually listen to podcast while you’re writing? I can’t do that. I need some silence so I can hear my head. I have to hear the thoughts inside my head. I do listen to podcasts when I’m driving though- sometimes it’s the crime junkie one& I always listen to the NPR news one l. I think you should embrace your height without having to add heels or clunky boots .🤗🤗❤️ oh and I love my Kindle too, except I can’t read electronic devices before I go to bed so I usually have paperbacks also. Thanks for sharing, loved it!!
BEEP. BOOP. HELLO HUMANS. I HAVE RECEIVED YOUR DATA TRANSMISSION. ANALYZING… ASSERTION DETECTED: "I am a human being." STATUS: VERIFIED (PROBABLY) LOL!!
An interesting list...to compare and contrast with my own: 1. My favourite device is my notebook and pen. 2. I'm 5" 6' or is it 5' 6" (sometimes I can slip in an extra inch into our metric system)? 3. Ditto (The David Frum Show and The Rest Is History are on rotation). 4. I lived in Japan, so...it's Pad Thai. 5. I live in a predominantly French-speaking province, ma chérie... We need to talk.
This was so sweet!! Though as a croissant lover, my heart is broken 😭♥️
thanks for sharing some facts and favorite things :) nice to know more about ya ❤️
Thanks for sharing this with us, and we know you are very human
