Information about Tesla

Tesla, Inc., is a high-performance electric car manufacturer in Silicon Valley. The CEO of this company is Elon Musk, being the richest man in the world, with a fortune of 267.3 billion dollars, at the moment (March 2022). It is an independent company that aims to produce, at some point, cheap cars for consumers. For example, the price of a Model 3 is $ 35,000, produced in 2017.

This car manufacturer stood out by launching the Tesla Roadster into production, being the first 100% electric sports car. It also has another car model in production, such as the Tesla Model S, a 100% electric luxury sedan, and two other developing models, the Model X and the Model 3.

It also produces lithium-ion batteries for Deimler and Toyota, being a type of rechargeable battery, more precisely the latest generation batteries, uses of electronic devices such as mobile phones, laptops and much more.

The Tesla Roadster model uses an electric motor made after Tesla's design, from 1882, being also the first volume car that uses Li-Ion cell batteries, which we also presented the first production car that has a greater autonomy of 320km.

Tesla Model S, a luxury car, is an electrically powered car built by Tesla Motors. At the same time, it is the first electric car capable of covering long distances, 500 km, without recharging the batteries. It is only available with four-wheel drive, has the same Li-Ion battery, maximum 85 kWh, being located on the floor, under the passenger compartment. For acceleration to 100 km / h, it needs, depending on the battery, between 5.6 seconds and 6.2 seconds. However, the P100D, in the performance category, reaches in just 2.7 seconds, and can be compared to Lamborghini or Ferrari.

Model X, is the most powerful SUV ever built, the kinematic chains, with updated battery architecture, can provide instant torque at any speed. The platform of this model, the Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive platform, offers incredible power and acceleration, 100 km in 3.9 seconds, with a range of 560 km, and the X Plaid Model, with the Tri Motor All-Wheel Drive platform with vector torque, has three independent drive units, each with a rotor with carbon fiber sleeves, which maintains full power up to maximum speed, reaching 100 km in 2.6 seconds, with a range of 536 km.

Model 3, praised as "built for safety", is the most important part of the design. The metal structure is a combination of aluminum and steel, bringing maximum strength in any area. It also comes with Dual Motor all-wheel drive, 20 ӆberturbine wheels and Performance brakes for total control. A carbon fiber aileron improves stability at high speeds, reaching 100km in 3.3 seconds.

Tesla vehicles are equipped with advanced hardware as standard, and can offer features such as Autopilot and Full Self-Driving capabilities, through software updates designed to improve functionality over time. The sensors have an advanced coverage, being eight surround type cameras that offer 360-degree visibility around the car, up to a distance of 250 meters. Twelve other ultrasonic sensors complete this visibility, providing detection of both hard and soft objects from a distance almost twice as long as the previous system.

The autopilot has some interesting functions, such as navigation, which suggests lane changes, route optimization and adjustments, but also automatically directs the vehicle to intersections and exits. With automatic steering and Smart Summon, it can navigate parking lots and narrow spaces. The Full Self-Driving function is designed to drive without any action on the part of the driver. A minus appears in some situations, where signaling and limited autonomy are required. Unfortunately, this function also requires constant attention from the driver, but the authorities also play an important role in legalizing it.
