A luxury four-door coupe from Audi

The new generation Audi A7 Sportback (hereinafter referred to as A7) is officially launched, and the new car is available in two models. The new car released is the second generation of the series, compared to the previous generation, the new model uses Audi's latest MLB Evo platform, and in terms of lightweight, electrification has been very much improved.

New car profile

The new car follows the design concept of the prologue concept car. The new design language adopts broad surfaces and well-defined angles and reduces decorative elements to a minimum. The large hexagonal grille has a stronger visual impact, and the body lines have become sharper than the previous generation. Audi often joked about as the "light factory", naturally upgraded the A7's headlights, offering LED, HD Matrix LED headlights, and HD Matrix LED headlights with laser high beam.

The side of the car is still slinky, with a slight increase in dimensions, 4969/1908/1422 mm in length, width, and height, and a wheelbase of 2926 mm. the rear of the car still has a flat design style, and the taillights are the same as the Audi A8, with a running design, which has become more and more common in recent years.

The coupe's wide taillights are also presented digitally; they consist of 13 vertical LED light-emitting strips on each side. An optional S-line appearance package adds to the car's sporty look - it offers special solutions for the front bumper, air intakes, side sills, and diffuser inserts.

The paint is available in 15 colors, including eight new shades. Solid color paint is available in Vermilion White and Gloss Black. Metallic and pearlescent colors include Dayton Gray, Silky Silver, Glacier White, Clarion Beige, and Mythic Black. New colors include Avalon Green, Sky Blue, Navarra Blue, Seville Red, Soho Brown, Typhoon Gray, Triton Blue, and Vesuvius Gray. The new Audi A7 Sportback is produced on Audi's (Neckarsulm plant) production line and is also available in a custom paint finish - customers can choose their color.

The interior of the new A7 has the same design as the A8, with the center console dominated by two large screens, the difference is that the A7 uses a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and the center console tilts to the driver's seat at a larger angle, with more emphasis on the driving experience. The overall interior flavor remains the same atmospheric luxury style, in line with the mainstream level of coupe models in the same class.

Two large touch-screen displays replace the numerous buttons and controls, thus creating a digital driving experience space. The left side of the steering wheel also features a smaller operator panel that includes all controls for the lighting functions. In this position, Audi can also offer an all-black area; it provides the user with tactile and acoustic feedback, just like a conventional switch.

In terms of power, the new car offers a choice of a 3.0T engine as well as a 2.0T engine, still with a 7-speed dual-clutch responsible for transferring power to the wheels. Among them, the 3.0T V6 engine has a maximum power of 340 hp and a peak torque of 500 Nm. In addition to the four-wheel drive model, the front-wheel drive version will also appear in the product sequence, and future sales should not be low.

New car background

The first generation of Audi A7 was officially unveiled in 2010, and after seven years, it finally ushered in its second generation. Although the A7 is positioned as a four-door coupe, the A7 and CLS have obvious differences in style, with the Audi tending to be a sports car and the Mercedes closer to a traditional sedan. In addition to the regular models, the A7 has also derived a performance version of the S7 and a high-performance version of the RS 7 series. 7 years is not a short time for a car, and the configuration of the year has become backward today, so it's time for a new generation.

Competitors

As a luxury four-door coupe, the Audi A7's competitors also have sufficient strength, but the recently replaced Audi A7 has more fresh technology than its rivals. The direct competitor, the Mercedes-Benz CLS, was also just launched this year, with a more aggressive exterior styling and only a 2.0T displacement engine in its power configuration.

Summary

The new Audi A7 Sportback is positioned as a high-end luxury coupe model. Its sliding back shape and rich high-tech configuration are designs that meet the needs of young consumers, while its interior has made a more driver-oriented layout and configuration, reflecting its emphasis on the sports driving experience. Power configuration naturally does not disappoint, the first listed are 4WD models with 3.0T engines, In the future there are models with 2.0T engines and front-wheel drive models. The current price is basically at the same level as the old model, which is an increase in volume and not price, worthy of key consideration for friends who like luxury coupes.
