I've walked on a road that ran through a cow farm many times before. It was filled with beautiful green meadows and cows happily feeding under shaded tress.
The farm was then taken over by a developer who converted the area into a grape plantation. It was a beautiful site to behold too, plenty of workers working in the grape plantation.
In both scenarios, the place used to be eye catching. But then something happened. I traveled home in April this year and found overgrowth of weeds. No more grape farm. No more workers. No more beautiful meadows and cows. Just weeds or bushes. Everywhere. They grew effortlessly. No hard work. And I remembered this quote: "Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds." ~ Gordon B Hinckley
I thought about businesses of old. Great and mighty they were but not anymore. I thought of building structures that once had life but now lay in ruins and I gained insight. It was hard work back then. If you have a dream, do it and work hard. It's hard work that makes all the difference!
Never forget God in your dreams too. He is the one who goes before you. Let Him lead and guide you.
