According to the United Nations (America) there are only 54 African countries. However according to the African Union there are 55 member nations.

According to facts there are 56 because, Somaliland which I’ve written about in prior articles is the 56th. Somaliland is recognized by over 40 countries of the United Nations. (that is more than Taiwan which only has 13 & the US is trying to go to war for)

NOTE: Only 54 African countries are recognized by the United Nations (America). Even though Palestine is a country they don’t recognize them because they refused to split their country with Israel. You can now see what is happening in Palestine. Vatican City (the Catholic Church) is a country but not recognized by the United Nations. According to the UN there are only 197 countries there are about 220. Colonization is still taking place there are 7 African territories (countries) still occupied by Western countries. (2022)

People continue to lazily use Google for answering, refusing to do further research, followed by reading to learn answers. The days of being lazy are here, as more people start using AI (Artificial Intelligence)

Technology is leading to the 'dumbing down' of millions of people. TikTok shows you cute, little 10 minute or less videos that no one confirms if they're actually factual.

One TikTok account posts the most dangerous countries in the world, which is according to the American State Department. The State Department that hasn't actually proven this claim with facts, just from a several year old kidnapping of Americans.

Burkina Faso is 4th on this list, even though there aren't several cases of violence from Burkina citizens. There are terrorists in the country committing acts of violence.

While there are terrorist in America committing more acts of violence and mass shootings. Same with in Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, Russia, Ukraine, and a host of other countries that didn't make the top 5 list.

According to statistics the United States should also be placed on that list, with mass shootings and school shootings happening frequently.

Morocco retains over 80% of the country of Sahrawi’s coast line land. Only giving the country Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic 20% of the inland area. In short Morocco had given no written promise, they claimed that it would give way to the full territory of the country. When the time came though Morocco did no such thing.

After William Ruto was sworn in he went into trade talks with Moroccan President Aziz Akhannouch. The very next day he downgraded Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic as a country.

56. Republic of Somaliland

Perhaps the most important factor preventing all African countries from recognizing Somaliland is the determination by the African Union (AU) that the continent’s colonial borders should not be changed. Otherwise, it is feared, it could lead to unpredictable dynamics of secession in the rest of the continent.

Eritrea in 1993 became a country when it was no longer a part of Ethiopia. Why can’t Somaliland become a country after all these years? Will the United States recognize the country in the near future? Will America exploit them afterwards?

The United States would also like to build an American base in Somaliland, they refuse to add them as a country. When over 40 others respect them as a country.

Why don't more people read, the way they used to? Reporters are reporting on Africa by saying there are only 54 African countries as well. With Africa Day just passing, more people are also proclaiming there are only 54 countries on the continent.
