Las Vegas is an amazing city that everyone should visit at least once in their lives. Keep reading for more info on why to go and what to watch out for.

WHAT IS THE LAS VEGAS STRIP?

Las Vegas is a city in the state of Nevada that is mostly known for its casinos and the Las Vegas Strip. The Las Vegas Strip is located in the southern part of the city and runs four miles east to west, from Paradise Road near Charleston Boulevard on the west end to Sahara Avenue on the east side.

THE PROS OF THE LAS VEGAS STRIP

There are many great things about the Las Vegas Strip. One of the best features is the vast selection of restaurants, hotels, and attractions that are all conveniently located in one area. If you’re looking to try some new cuisines or want to experience inexpensive luxury, then look no further than the Las Vegas Strip.

LOTS OF HOTELS TO CHOOSE FROM!

If you plan on staying on the Las Vegas Strip overnight, there are plenty of accommodations for you to choose from. There’s a hotel on every corner in this part of town, so it will be easy to find one that matches your budget and preference.

The Strip is home to several casinos that have been operational for 25 years or more. Famous casinos like The Mirage, Luxor, Circus Circus, and The Flamingo are all on the Vegas strip. While most focus is placed on these casinos, there are also other great attractions that will be sure to impress anyone who visits this part of Nevada. There are several amusement parks, entertainment venues, and shopping centers.

AMAZING EXPERIENCES!

One of the most popular features on the Las Vegas Strip is the fountain show at The Bellagio. Every 30 minutes this magnificent display will have you mesmerized as over 1,000 gallons of water soar to heights of more than 500 feet in synchronization with some of your favorite musical pieces.

Other great features include the Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas and the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. Another popular attraction that is well worth visiting is the Bellagio Conservatory. The Conservatory has 12 different rooms, each with a different theme and filled with magnificent displays you won’t find anywhere else in the world. For something a little more elegant, head to the Wynn Las Vegas where you can enjoy one of their live shows.

SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE

Most people do associate Las Vegas with gambling and sin but there is so much more! Shows, arcades, shopping, food, and even a roller coaster can be found on the Las Vegas Strip. There really is something for everyone. Don’t let someone who doesn’t drink or gamble convince you otherwise!

THE CONS OF THE LAS VEGAS STRIP

CAN BE EXPENSIVE

There are many negative aspects of the Vegas Strip to consider. One is that it’s one of the most expensive places to eat in the United States. A hamburger costs around 15 dollars, while a sandwich can set you back as much as 40 dollars.

Also, don’t plan on much being free. You will most likely need to pay for parking, resort fees, and service fees. Make sure you take this into consideration when budgeting for your trip.

LOTS OF PEOPLE AROUND

Due to the fact this is an area with so many people and large crowds, it can sometimes be difficult to navigate through all of the people who will get in your way. Anyone who has visited San Francisco or New York knows how annoying this can be and it’s just as bad in Las Vegas. It can also be hard to find a good hotel room if you’re on a budget because most hotels on the strip are premium luxury.

GAMBLING CAN BE A PROBLEM

The people who work in the casinos are notorious for trying to get you to spend as much money as possible on gambling. This may not seem like a big deal, but it’s often difficult to tell whether they’re being truthful or using any other tactics to try and entice you to gamble more than you want.

GETTING AROUND

If you’re thinking of visiting Las Vegas anytime soon, be sure to plan ahead for where and when you’re going so that you don’t suffer through long periods of sitting in traffic. While you can use the tram, bus or Uber to get around, these costs will add up quickly.

Don’t be fooled with how close everything looks. some of the casinos are a mile or more away from you even though they look like you can walk there in 5 minutes.

EXCESSIVE HEAT

In the summer months, Las Vegas is extremely hot. Temperatures can often reach over 100 degrees in June and July when the majority of tourists visit. If you’re scheduling a trip during one of these months, make sure to bring lots of water and wear light clothing or you could be paying for it with sunburns or dehydration later on.

CONCLUSION

The Las Vegas Strip is a great place to visit for those who enjoy gambling, sightseeing, and entertainment. However, it has some drawbacks that you should be aware of before making the trip. Always plan ahead to make your trip the best it can be!
