Best Christmas towns in the US

There are many different towns and cities that go all out for Christmas in the US. These are some of them.
Alabama

Enjoy your Christmas in a place where they do Christmas right, Andalusia. The main square becomes Christmas in Candyland with snow-making machines. There is snow-tubing and outdoor ice-skating to enjoy.
Alaska

Perhaps you’d enjoy visiting North Pole, Alaska. This village is located near Fairbanks and is where Santa lives. It is Christmas all through the year here, and the holidays make it sparkle with Christmas magic. The streets have names such as Snowman Lane, Holiday Road, and Saint Nicholas Drive.

Visitors enjoy the Santa Claus House, a reindeer farm, and a giant statue of Santa.
Connecticut

Mystic, the historic seaport, is a great place to spend Christmas. You can enjoy the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade that flows down the Mystic River. The Mystic Seaport Museum offers a holiday bake workshop to create traditional New England holiday treats.

You’ll enjoy a community carol sing and a self-guided tour of the Lantern Light Village. Visitors also enjoy the Holiday Lights Spectacular.
Hawaii

You might enjoy saying "Mele Kalikimaka" or "Merry Christmas" in Hawaiian in Honolulu. Visitors enjoy the Waikiki Holiday Parade.

There are the dazzling Honolulu city lights. Enjoy the Shaka Santa and Tutu Mele/Mrs. Clause statues outside of Honolulu Hale/City Hall.
Indiana

What a better idea than spending Christmas in Santa Claus, the St. Nick-themed town. This town is known for its live reindeer, light displays, live music, and entertainment on the holidays.

As for the most famous of all, you can enjoy Santa’s Candy Castle

Kentucky

Bardstown has been nicknamed “the most beautiful small town in America.” Visitors enjoy all the Christmas traditions, such as Light Up Bardstown. Main Street is illuminated along with the town Christmas tree, and “Christmas Corner” has lots of enjoyable treats and surprises.

Enjoy My Old Kentucky Home, an 1818 mansion that inspired the classic song and gets all decked out for the holidays. Costumed performers sing the song as you view decorated rooms from Colonial times to the Victorian era to the 1920s.
The town also hosts a parade, a North Pole Express train ride, and a candlelit Christmas Tour of Homes.
Louisiana

Natchitoches really gets into the Creole Christmas spirit. They town hosts a Festival of Lights Parade.

There is a lighted boat parade and a Christmas tour of homes. Visitors enjoy the fireworks every Saturday until the end of December.
New Jersey

Cape May is a Victorian seaside town with plenty of Christmas gaslights and garlands. Visitors can take a trolley ride to see the Christmas lights. There are candlelight holiday house tours.

Enjoy the Winter Wonderwalk at the Physick Estate, a Victorian house museum.
New York

New York City might just surprise you at Christmas. It does it in big style and the department store Christmas window displays dazzle the eyes. Christmas movies such as “34th Street,” “Elf,” and “Home Alone 2” tell it like it is when Christmas makes NYC magical.

There is so much to dazzle the eyes, especially the huge Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
Pennsylvania

Bethlehem has been nicknamed "Christmas City" since it was designated as Bethlehem on Christmas Eve 1741. Visitors enjoy the famous Christkindlmarkt featuring artisans, music, crafts, food, and handmade gifts from Germany.

Enjoy the Bethlehem by Night bus tour, a carriage ride, or a walking Christmas stroll. See the decorated Trees of Historic Bethlehem, set among five historic sites.
Rhode Island

Newport presents all the Newport mansions dazzling with holiday decorations. The town itself is lovely with Christmas decorations and lights.

The Breakers is decorated with Christmas trees, wreaths, and poinsettias. It is known for the event "Sparkling Lights" at the Breakers.

The Newport Nutcracker at Rosecliff has visitors moving with the dancers throughout the mansion.
Texas

The San Antonio Riverwalk gets decked out in Christmas lights. Visitors can book a caroling boat and see all the decorations all around.

Thousands of lights are hung on the bald cypress trees lining the river.
