Back In The Poison Garden. Content Warning.
Introduction Earlier this year I visited The Poison Garden in Alnwick and shocked and surprised a lot of my friends across the water with the fatal capabilities of everyday plants that most people have around their homes. You can check that piece out with the comments here.

Highway to the Stars. Top Story - September 2023.
Now, Iβm not going to do this experience justice. Iβm not going to be able to describe the feelings and visuals, but Iβm hoping itβll be enough to maybe connect or convince someone enough to seek this sight for themselves.

A Bit Of The Titanic In Alnwick
Introduction Fiona told me that the White Swan Hotel in Alnwick contained some artefacts from the RMS Olympic which was the sister ship to the Titanic. On checking It turns out that the main dining room (Olympic Restaurant) is effectively the First Class Lounge from the ship which is identical to the one on the Titanic.

A Walk In Hulne Park, Alnwick
Introduction It was raining, but I thought that I needed to get out and get some fresh air this morning, so I thought I would walk around to Hulne Park and take a very short snoop around and see what there was. My friend Julie had told us that this was the Duke of Northumberland's "back garden" but when we went it was shut. It is maintained by Northumberland Estates and you can read about it here.

This is going to be a very haphazard piece with random observations and photographs (do we still call them photographs?) from the time I was there.

Malaga and Marbella, Spain
In 2004, I took the opportunity to visit Girona and Barcelona, Spain. I returned to Spain with my wife and daughter almost twenty years later. There were two motivations for visiting Spain this past August. First, my daughter missed the beaches on the Florida Gulf Coast, and Spain's Costa del Sol region met her wishes. Second, my wife and daughter both took DNA tests, and the results showed, like mine, that most of our ancestry came from Spain and Portugal.
