Yellow Mountains
No grasp over the native language, a trek in the freezing winter with nothing other than normal running shoes to support me, and that, too, with total strangers - All these things didn't stop me from getting out of my comfort zone when I came to know that my days in Shanghai were numbered. Suddenly I wanted to experience all it had to offer. So one Friday evening, I wrapped up my work early and caught a bus to Yellow Mountain in Huangshan. With my zero direction sense and Mandarin knowledge, catching the bus itself seemed to be an achievement.

When green, ancient Arabia drew early people from Africa
On the Arabian Peninsula, dry sand ridges stretch far into the distance. Nonetheless, another review recommends that these desert districts were once totally different. It's logical they were green with plants. Researchers accept they pulled in early people and enormous creatures, for example, hippopotamuses moving out of the African mainland to remain at antiquated lakes.

The Other Way
I am so exhausted that I find it hard to write. I have been traveling all day and wearing a mask for more than 10 hours, barely able to breath. I got out of bed at 430AM in Philadelphia, rushed to the airport, and have been going ever since. Here, in CR, it is only 8PM, but my body knows it is really 10. I have a choice...to try to stay up until my normal bedtime or to just go to bed right now and possibly wake up in the middle of the night. That really isn’t a choice for me.

Kedarkantha Trek, Uttarakhand
Kedarkantha is a breathtaking walk that allows photographers to capture the magical snow falling from the pine trees. The 'I rule the world' position at the summit of Kedarkantha Summit would make a fantastic profile picture, and the breathtaking vistas in the background will make your friends envious!

How To Appreciate The Natural World
How does one appreciate the natural world? Appreciating the natural world means noticing it, combining with it, and then relaxing into it. Noticing the inherent beauty of nature is the first step. It’s good to pay attention to the small details and textures of plants, animals, the sky, etc.

Cow Shit!
We got up early in the morning, excited to be going to Great Yarmouth for our holiday. We were singing in the car with the windows down, happily driving down the country lanes and taking in every sight of the country. We hadn't had a holiday for a while due to illness, so we were relieved to be finally getting away (that was when my husband finally found his car keys...which took him a whole hour, after complaining that I had spent ten minutes looking for my purse!).

Candace Clicks with Twins. Top Story - June 2021.
I have wished, at times, that I had been born twins. That way, the part of me that appreciates the conveniences of city living could reside in comfort, while the part of me that strongly prefers rural life could enjoy communing with nature. However, as twins, I would be two individuals, not one. Living apart from my hypothetical twin would separate me from my best friend. Neither of us would derive pleasure from the other's experiences in the other place. After pondering this, I concluded that having a twin wouldn't solve my conundrum of wanting to be in two places at the same time.
