A TERRITORY IN BETWEEN
When I saw off my mother at the train station in Moscow, she told me: "You know, I never really felt at home here". She grew up in Uzhgorod, a city in the very west of Ukraine, in Zakarpattia region. It is separated from the rest of the country by the Carpathian Mountains, and therefore has always existed almost autonomously. The entire population hardly associates itself with Ukraine. Before World War II, at different times, this territory was part of 4 different states, they had no choice but to be themselves. Until now, they live in their own way, speaking a mixture of Ukrainian, Hungarian and Slovak languages, with scattered here and there medieval castles, with their love for objects woven from vines, light fabrics, decorated with patterns, growing the tastiest tomatoes, watermelons, peaches, cherries, grapes and everything you can imagine.

Hard Times
My life is but a dream, like Alice in Wonderland. My mom had this crazy idea to be a van dweller, and me being the young curious adventurer I am, I went along and got hooked on the idea of living minimally in a vehicle that could take us across America. We went on Route 66 straight to the Root Chakra of the Earth, in other words Hell. It's true about the temptation you feel out in California, in the city of “Angels”. Everyone that resides there always says they have a love/hate relationship towards Los Angeles, and I've come to agree. Being there makes you feel ecstatic, maybe it's the fast life, maybe it's the legalized weed that slows everything down. I don't know, but it makes you want to crave more, like addiction. But again it is the Root Chakra of the Earth so what would you expect. At 9 years old the first time I came to Los Angeles was a blur really, I know I've met family members that live in California but after going back to Texas i've just had this magnetic attraction towards it and always wanted to go there. It's crazy because the number 9 represents transformation. One must go through experience to enjoy simple things of life. Surprisingly I was 9 again, because we left Texas when I was 18. Living in a bus on the streets of L.A. really helped shape who I am at the moment, as I am writing this in 2020 Quarantine. Yeah the whole world is in a pandemic and what better thing to do than to write what the fuck happened. But first,

Three Peaks of the UK - Top Tips
He's the man that was there when I took my first steps, and still teases me over the fact I took my time trying to walk, watching the other kids fail before getting it right myself in very few goes. He's watched me walk across the stage at two graduations, and one day he'll walk me down the aisle.

Can We Back the Train Up?
Sacramento, California is known for its awe-inspiring museums - the train museum is popular with kids of all ages, myself included. On special days throughout the year, the city opens all of its museums up for free, attracting crowds from all over the State. February 1st, 2020 was just a few short months ago, but it seems like several lifetimes ago now.

The Aegean Awaits...Just Over My Balcony
“They’ll kill you. It’s not safe!” “Who’ll kill us, Mom?” “ISIS…” As it turned out, ISIS didn’t kill us when we moved to the Aegean Sea coast of Turkey. In fact, the only thing that killed us was the kindness of the Turkish people we met.

Kissed By The Sun
I have a love-hate relationship with the weekends. They take forever to show up and are too short to enjoy. I was having a good night's sleep the night before I will be up before the sun rises. 6 am on the dot I roll over and to look out the window, and I see the sun slowly rising. As I roll on my back to stare at the ceiling, my mind seems to race on what activities I want to accomplish on my first day of "freedom." I'm a planner. My Google calendar consists of every color of the rainbow to color coordinate my life. But today I'm putting my planning on the back burner, and I'm deciding to go with what my heart tells me. First things first, check the weather. I reach for my phone and tap on the weather app to see with the next five days will be. A relaxed and breezy 72 degrees in San Diego sounds perfect. Finally, I can pull out that blue dress that I planned on wearing months ago.
