UK Holiday Spots Outside London
A lot of people online have said they've always wanted to come to the UK. They want to go to London. I see the attraction that London brings. Tourists love the double-decker buses, the palaces, and the Big Ben. There's something for everyone in London. London's diversity is what makes it a cultural hotspot around the world. It is a city that celebrates diversities and over a thousand cultures.

Places to visit in Winchester
Winchester, the county town of Hampshire, was once of far greater importance, being the capital of Alfred the Great’s Kingdom of Wessex and therefore the most important city in England. William the Conqueror hoped that his claim to the throne would be accepted by having himself crowned in Winchester as well as London. It was the monks of Winchester who were commissioned to prepare the Domesday Book.

London Off The Tourist Trail
My favourite travel memories from the country I was born in are from the city I lived in — London. It might seem odd that someone would travel around their home city and find it the best memory. Maybe it’s nostalgia now my wife, Alejandra, and I live in Spain? I don’t think so.

I AM THE STORIES OF MY LIFE
Onward, what came next? I don’t recall the sequence now, but I bused through the countryside heading south, visited the Isle of Man, watched the Isle of Man TT races at the beginning of June. Have you heard of the TT Races? This is a motorbike race that has a course through mountainous terrain challenging the best of riders. It is a thrill to watch and in 1964 it was Mike Hailwood. I remember standing with many onlookers near a humpback bridge and watching as the riders came speeding round the bend almost touching the ground as they crossed the bridge. It was engraved on my memory.

Mount Pilatus - Heaven on earth
Although I am originally from India however, I am residing in Switzerland as an MBA student for a period of 1 year & 6 months. This is my first foreign country experience & before visiting this country I had no idea how my experience would be. As soon as I arrived at the Zurich airport around 7 in the evening, I was excited, nervous, thrilled & kind of confused at the same time like mixed emotions running all over me. I also had no clue where to pick up my baggage from but when I asked the airport staff, they assisted me quite promptly and politely. Then the college car came to pick me up & I had quite a playful conversation with the driver in which we were exchanging some awesome words about our respective countries. It was more like a cultural exchange. While on my way to college I was beyond excited to see the swiss streets, roads, buildings etc.

The secret of Switzerland's rise to power
This is my second visit to Switzerland. The first time I visited Switzerland, I also saw this sculpture called "The Sad Lion". At that time, I only knew that the lion was very famous, but today I know that the secret of Switzerland's rapid rise is hidden in this sculpture.

Newgrange ancient monument, Ireland
Some 700 years before the main stones were erected at Stonehenge, and even longer before the Pyramids were built in Egypt, a massive tomb was being built in Ireland that can still be seen today. This is at Newgrange, in a loop of the River Boyne between Drogheda and Slane, about 25 miles northwest of Dublin.
