Running away to run into myself.
I was a determined child laced with a forgetful nature. My library books were often late and my socks never matched. By the time I entered second grate, the school librarian eventually grew tired of my tardiness, so she handed me a book and said "because your books are always late, you will have to read a boring book this week."

5 Inexpensive Eateries in Myrtle Beach
If you have followed any of my "5" lists you know that I love to travel but I don't love to spend a lot of money doing it. One of the things I like to do before I visit a new place is to find out where the locals eat. Restaurants that cater to mostly locals are more likely to have delicious food at affordable prices. If I am already in a city I will ask for recommendations. One of my favourite people to ask is police officers on foot. If you are in a city or town that is touristy or busy there is a good chance you will encounter an officer on foot. Ask them what their favourite restaurant is. I am always guaranteed a great meal.

Winston-Salem Downtown Things to do Food Truck Festival 2021
Girls' time has been way overdue. That's why when my friend Shelby invited Roxanne and me to all go to Winston-Salem downtown for their Food Truck Festival of 2021, we jumped on it. Shelby is a new mama to a beautiful baby girl and we've missed her! Life as a mama is rewarding but certainly busy and it's been about a year since we've had a girls' trip/day. Plus, good food, good times, good people, and drinks, how could a girl say no?

Ways to Travel on the Cheap
American author Mark Twain may have penned the all-time best quote about the benefits of travel: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”
