Dubai the land of Luxury
We decided to spend our winter vacation in Dubai because we didn't know how the city had developed and we were a little skeptical because this was our first trip there. We decided to visit the beach, as we had done earlier in the Daily Marina, and we were not interested in the old town. After a tiring but exciting day, we thought of something else happening around us and decided to skip to the Dubai Mall Emirates one day.

Bijoy
It was a frosty, foggy winter the Indian government had just announced that it would respond to the pre-emptive strike by Pakistan and everyone in the Kashmiri region had been warned to take cover. Raj woke up in the middle of the night to deafening sounds of bombs, he turned to his mom who had his other 3 siblings in each arm. “mama, I’m scared.” Hot tears poured down his eyes. His mum stroked his ruffled black hair that seemed like the only thing that had grown the past 15 days they had been in the bunker. The bunker was a dug up hole in the ground She brought him closer to her and told him it was just a game of hide and seek and in order to win they had to be as quiet as possible. Her voice was hollow and dry but she sang a hymn softly in his ears while the bombs and metal pieces scattered above the bunker. Next airstrike exploded what seemed like a few feet near them, this time the sandbags that were placed over the hole burst open and sand and dust poured in. Raj screeched, “I DON’T WANT TO PLAY ANYMORE MA!” His brother leaped onto Raj and grasped his mouth, “Raj! Be quiet!!” His brother Mital looked barely recognizable; his skin was ashy gray the same color and the man who was sleeping in a distorted position up in the tree that Raj had seen the other day when he explored the area around the bunker. He buried his face in his mother’s arm there was a puddle of water that seeped through the cracks and every time he heard a loud blast the bunker seemed like it would eventually close in on them.

Vietnam is one of my favorite countries to visit, mainly because of the people. I had the good fortune to spend a month there, traveling to different spots as they came up. I like to travel that way, letting chance and a bit of on-the-spot research influence my choices. It was a terrific experience and I’m grateful to have had the chance.

National Zoological Park Delhi
1. About the National Zoological Park Delhi Also known as the Zoological Garden or the Delhi Zoo, it is essentially 176 acres of fortified area that serves as a home to over 1000 animals and birds from around the world and a Kos Minar from the Mughal period. The history of the National Zoological Park, Delhi (now New Delhi), dates back to the year 1952 when the Indian Board of Wildlife created a committee to look into the creation of the park. Carl Hagenbeck, the owner of the famous Hamburg Animal Park in West Germany, was hired to design and plan the zoological park. He came up with the idea of moat enclosures and presented a preliminary plan of the zoo, including waterways, walking trails, and sewage systems that got approved by the Indian Government in 1956. After three years of hard work and dedication, the park was inaugurated on November 1, 1959, as the Delhi Zoo. However, it was renamed the National Zoological Park by the then Indian Government, promoting it as an inspiration for other Zoological parks of the country.

Purana Qila in Delhi
The foundation of the city was laid by Mughal Emperor Humayun. This city was considered as 'the refuge for the faithful' or Dinpanah. It is the inner citadel of this city which was re built by the Sur dynasty King Sher Shah Suri. One more interesting fact about the site is the history before it was rebuilt by Sher Shah Suri; it is believed by many historians that the capital city of Pandavas i.e. the Indraprastha was situated exactly at the same site as the fort. Also the Archaeological Survey of India found Painted Grey ware dating back to 1000 BC making the history of this site almost 5000 years old. A myth that the fort has been unlucky for the rulers who inhabited the fort; Be it Humayun, Sher Shah Suri or Hemu all three of them had tragic reigns.
