A Multicultural Experience in Southern California
The new year is off to a hopeful start, with the COVID-19 vaccine finally making its rounds across America, as well as the rest of the world! We may soon be able to travel safely by airplane again! But if you’re like me, and cabin fever is getting the best of you, a road trip may be just the thing to keep you sane. I loved that I didn’t need to leave California to experience world cultures, as California really is a melting pot. Please note that with the steady increase of coronavirus cases -- especially in Southern California -- all activities listed here are not guaranteed to still be open now. Please do your due diligence to find out if they are before heading on your adventure, and be sure to wear a mask properly at all times.

My Favorite Place in the World
Imagine waking up in the morning and looking out your window. Instead of seeing what you normally see, you see a beautiful view of a college campus. A college campus set in the mountains? Is that possible? It is — there are quite a few of them in the US, but in this case, the one I’m talking about is Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. It may not be Boone’s biggest attraction, but it’s a good place to start if you want to make Boone your home.

Part VII : Memorable Plattsburgh Moments that Extend to New York City
I was recently reading an article about Seinfeld and how we should stop embracing the 90s comedy for its sheer insensitivity. Horrible people the article droned on but the show was actually providing real social commentary. I know because I was there in 1989-90, and living on East 83rd Street with three of my college buddies, we were young, selfish and only looking out for ourselves. Sorry, that's what young people do. Of course, we perfected those skills in Plattsburgh, and we were proud to bring them to NYC before Seinfeld cornered the market.

2021 Travel
Let's just all come to terms that 2020 has been a total nightmare. I am a traveler. I love my visits back to my home state of California, which is currently in the middle of a COVID bomb. I can't go home to see my family, because they are prime candidates for COVID. Covid is like, "Hey, let's go check out Stacy's dad. He's got a ton of health issues, he would be a perfect place to put up shop."
