Stay in a Stylish Berlin Houseboat with Panoramic Windows

Located on Lake Rummelsburg, this modern floating home features expansive wraparound windows, providing stunning views of Berlin.

Though just 15 minutes from the city center, the Modern Houseboat offers a peaceful retreat away from the urban hustle. It provides a unique chance to experience life on the water while enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings of this part of the city.

The houseboat spans approximately 646 square feet and boasts minimalist interiors designed by Chris Laugsch. The space is furnished with sleek, custom-made pieces that complement, rather than compete with, the views. The layout includes an open kitchen, a spacious living area with a retractable double bed and sofa, a shower room, a separate toilet, and a main bedroom overlooking the water. A fireplace keeps the home cozy in winter, and a Hampton Bay ceiling fan ensures it stays cool during hot summer nights.

Neighbors include a small nature reserve where swans and ducks frequent the dock, and Spreeboote, offering bespoke tours of Berlin on elegant vintage boats. Guests can also use two handcrafted Bella Ciao bicycles for exploring.

The Modern Houseboat accommodates two adults and two children and is available for rent through The Modern House, with rates ranging from $278 to $371 per night, depending on the season.

Wow. Never seen a houseboat like this one. The houseboats off the coast of California don't measure up. In fact, many are trying to keep from being run off the coast. They have been victim of crimes etc. It's so bad. People should be able to live in what feels like "home" to them. Thanks for sharing.
