Visit Tintagel, where King Arthur is thought to have been born, or St. Mawes Castle and its twin on the other side of the river, built by King Henry VIII in the 1500s. And don’t forget to visit Penzance.

You can attend an open air theatre.

The Minack Theatre is the best open-air theatre in Great Britain. There’s nothing like catching a Shakespearean play with the whole of the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. If you are there during the right time of year, you might even see dolphins and basking sharks from your vantage point on the cliff.

Light pollution is extremely low in Southern Cornwall. In fact, Roseland Peninsula and the surrounding environs have been officially given Dark Sky Discovery status. The views at night are stunning even to the naked eye. If you bring along your binoculars or a telescope, you’ll get to see even more.

It might seem hard to believe, but Cornwall is home to the Eden Project: an enormous indoor rainforest biome. You can tour it and learn all about sustainable growth while watching amazing tropical plants and insects interact.
